Exceptional Replacement Fan for Ender 5 S1 3D Printer
I recently upgraded my Ender 5 S1 3D printer by replacing the stock fan with the Noctua NF-A4x10 24V PWM 40mm Fan, and the improvement has been remarkable. ✔️ What I Appreciate: Superior Quietness: The Noctua fan operates with minimal noise, significantly quieter than the original stock fan. This enhancement has made my printing environment much more pleasant. Efficient Cooling Performance: Despite its quiet operation, the fan provides excellent airflow, effectively maintaining optimal temperatures during extended printing sessions. High-Quality Build: The fan's construction is robust and durable, reflecting Noctua's reputation for premium quality components. PWM Control: The PWM feature allows for precise speed control, enabling the fan to adjust its performance based on the printer's cooling needs, which contributes to both efficiency and longevity. ❌ Areas for Improvement: Installation Considerations: While the fan itself is top-notch, users should ensure compatibility with their specific printer model. In some cases, slight modifications or additional adapters may be necessary for installation. 💡 Final Thoughts: The Noctua NF-A4x10 24V PWM 40mm Fan is an outstanding upgrade for the Ender 5 S1 3D printer. Its quiet operation, efficient cooling, and high-quality construction make it a worthwhile investment for those looking to enhance their 3D printing experience. ✔ Best For: 3D printing enthusiasts seeking a quieter and more efficient cooling solution for their printers. ❌ Not Ideal For: Users who prefer plug-and-play solutions without any need for modifications. 👉 Overall: 5/5 – An excellent fan that delivers on performance and quietness, significantly improving the 3D printing environment.

Outstandingly quiet and efficient fan
I’ve been thoroughly impressed with this fan – it’s everything you’d expect from Noctua. It’s exceptionally quiet to the point of being nearly inaudible, even when running continuously. I’m using it to cool a Raspberry Pi 4 setup, and it’s done a brilliant job keeping temperatures in check without introducing any noticeable noise. The build quality feels premium, and installation was straightforward with the 4-pin PWM connector. Although compact at just 40mm, it punches well above its size in terms of airflow and thermal management. Perfect for compact builds or custom projects where noise is a concern. Highly recommended if you need reliable, quiet cooling in a 24V system

Very quiet and high flow
bought to replace the hotend and mainboard fans in my ender 3. after doing so (although the PWM goes to complete waste here), it runs way quieter, near silent (at full speed!) and the airflow is great. very very happy. the included accessory package is very premium compared to most fans, the anti vibration pads are nice, the build quality is clearly good.

Some of the best small fans money can buy
purchased this Noctua NF-A4x10, and I am extremely satisfied with its performance. The fan operates quietly while delivering impressive airflow, making it perfect for my enclosed project. The PWM control allows for efficient speed adjustments, keeping noise levels down during low-demand periods. Installation was straightforward, and the build quality feels top-notch, typical of Noctua products. If you're looking for a reliable, quiet fan for tight spaces, I highly recommend this one!

Classic Noctua
Beautiful colour scheme. Cooling performance is fantastic, especially since it's so quiet. Used these in my 3d printer to make it quieter and works fantastically. Always a pleasure using Noctua (when it doesn't break the bank lol)

Standard qualty that I've come to expect from Noctua, i.e. second to none.
There is something about Notcua fans that scream quality to me. This one is going in my Ender 3 as a hotend cooling fan, as I'm not sure if the existing one is working right or not. Although I'm not using the PWM, or Tacho Signals at the moment, there is room to be able to add something into the mix to allow me to see what the fans RPM is, or even to control the speed - though I'm unlikely to run at anything short of 100%. Actually, I love that the fan is extremely quiet at full speed.

Ender 5 Plus
Switched out the hotend fan and the casing fan. Both made huge improvements to the sound of the printer. Came with everything I needed for the switch from the default fan and shroud, including everything you need for the wiring. Absolutely recommend to anyone with a printer that these fit.

Due to their 24V rating, these are advertised as a "silent" alternative to the stock fans of your 3D printer. And yes, they are silent but mostly because they move about half the air a stock fan does. I used these to replace the fans on my Ender 3 and the result was nothing but problems. It doesn't cool the heat sink of the hot end enough causing filament to bulge before it reaches the hot end. This results in under extrusion and extruder skipping because it needs a lot more force to push the filament through the hot end. Also, when changing filament, I had to take the extruder apart because due to the bulging of the filament, the filament got stuck in the lever of the extruder. So for now, I'm stuck with using the stock but very noisy fan until I find a proper "silent" replacement...

Bought to put into my Anker Maker M5C. Note you will have to use the included scotch locks and wire the old fan connector for the hot end. The fan fits though. For the main board / Marlin board you will need to print an adapter to fit the 40mm to the existing mount. You don’t need to modify the fan connector. Would recommend especially since the stock fans sound terrible. These are quieter but the fan quality is what I was after. Very straightforward mod for the M5C

Quality fan, as described. Replaced the drive cooling fan in my Ender 3, Original fan was way to loud... This fan you cant even hear at full speed, and it pushes more air the the original fan as well!

After the second hotend fan went out in less than a year of owning my Ankermake M5C I decided to give this a try purely in the hopes that it would be a more durable replacement. While it's too soon to know how much longer it'll last compared to the oem replacement fans, I have to say that my overall print quality has improved dramatically! All the silly little issues that had me chasing my tail, tweaking settings constantly are now over. Layer adhesion, bed adhesion, bridging problems, elephant footing, general warping... gone. I've even been able to stop using brims or rafts and my supports separate with nearly no post-print cleanup. Obviously, your results may vary but I'm absolutely recommending this fan as the best drop-in hotend fan upgrade if you own an Ankermake M5C. Installation is a breeze using the included 2 wire adapter, a few hex wrenches from your ankermake tool kit, and some pliers to help lock down the scotch locks. Just cut off your old fan's connector leaving enough wire for routing around the extruder gear and connect it to the 2 wire adapter via the scotch locks (red to grey, black to black). If you've never used scotch locks before, remember that it's not necessary to strip the wires, just make sure they're fully inserted into the scotch lock and press the center down as straight as possible. If you get it canted, it could break the scotch lock (others have mentioned this in their reviews). Luckily, Noctua provides 4 in the kit so you have extras for 2 wire applications like the M5C. Otherwise the installation is just the same as an oem replacement and instructions can be found on Ankermake's support site. If I somehow acquire another M5C, I'd do this swap as soon as it's out of the box. I'm that sold. My only gripe is that it doesn't appear that they make a 3010 version to replace my noisy pcba fan. Buy this fan if you have an Ankermake M5C, seriously. Oh yeah, it's super quiet too!
