Surprisingly well built.
A proper, all brass drain valve? for the cost of those stupid bent metal wing ones? Yes, please!Got this for my ancient compressor, it had a drain plug that was a pain to get at. Dropping one of these and a 90 degree elbow on made draining a lot simpler.Quality is great, no leaks from the valve at all, smooth turning and good sealing. Everything you can get at is made of brass, the full length hexagonal body makes installation easy the threads are properly formed, the flared knob turns and it works great. Besides cosmetically being plain, with no embellishments, knurling or etchings, there's no difference between this and a way more expensive ones. and let's face it, if you're worried about the minimalist aesthetic aspects of a drain cock, you may have a bit too much free time on your hands.Excellent valve, excellent price.

Good quality, nice upgrade from original drain valve
The original drain valve on my 32 year old Craftsman air compressor finally gave out, and rather than replacing it with the cheap standard petcocks, I wanted to upgrade to something that was both easier to operate and would last forever. This brass valve has some heft to it, it operates very smoothly, and gets the job done with no fuss. The only drawback specific to my application is that this valve is longer than the petcock it replaced, and since the tank sits horizontal to the floor, the opening at the bottom of the valve is now quite close to the floor. Not a big deal, just something to consider if you have a similar replacement application, figure on needing a bit more clearance for this valve.

Very solid valve; I'm glad I bought it.
This is a solid valve that opens much more easily than alternatives. My only issue is that it actuates 360 degrees; it doesn't stop when fully closed. This requires a little extra attention when closing so that I don't overturn and open it a little.

Nice
Seem to be good quality but time will tell. These are a nice upgrade for the ones you pull with a cable as long as they are in a place that can be reached easily.

Solid, quality valve
Worked perfectly for my old Craftsman air compressor. It's much better than the screw knob valve it replaced; it's easy to install and turn.
