That the bottom board is alreadyIn the car seat. I am training my dog to sit in it. The car seat itself is very nice and comfortable for a small dog or a cat.

It is the right size for dog and strong enough to last her for some time.

The seat appears sturdy and I pray I never have to truly test it out. I have 2 issues with this seat so far. The first is the straps for the bottom are these stupid elastic straps that slip off the seat if you try and adjust the position of the seat on your center council. I don't trust them at all to keep the seat on the council with everyday use. The second issue is it did not come with any type of pillow or cushion for the bottom, which is pretty hard.

This carseat is wonderful for my Chihuahua! He loves to take rides with me and feels secure with the little clip that holds him in place . very comfy ride.

The smell is outrageous! I've left it out in the sun to perhaps get rid of this toxic odor. There is no way I would place my fur baby is this smell . And of course I wouldn't have this smell in my car.

It fits perfectly in so many places in my car. Our favorite is between the front seats on the counsel. Our little Havanese pup loves riding in it!

Seems sturdy and safe, but when installed, it must hang off the back of the console which pulls the elastic bands very tight, so don't know if it will hold up to the strain on the seams. Used the extra straps to make it secure, so it does keep my pet safe but there's probably one that will fit a 2020 Subaru Forester better

Fits good in my Honda Pilot. Does need a pillow. The bottom is very hard.
