I used this both at home and at school. Planting in pots can be messy. This keep the soil contained and made for easy clean up. It is easy to assemble and take apart. However, pull gently on the snaps when separating as they are a bit weak. A wet cloth easily wipes a way the residual soil from the mat. The mat folds up and has a strap to keep it closed. I would recommend this item.

i'm always taking my orchids out of pots to check them, and i ALWAYS get potting soil all over the kitchen. so i bought these.used once, it folds up nicely, but i still managed to get potting soil on the countertop. i guess i'm just not careful enough. it would work fine if you were REALLY CAREFUL, i think

I bought this mat because I was tired of trying to use trash bags or cardboard on the driveway while I was trying to repot some of my plants. It just always made a mess. This mat is so CONVENIENT and EASY TO USE. After repotting my plants, I even used it to cover the bucket of freshly mixed soil that I had left over. Perfect!Size (Extra Large): GREAT! I bought one of these on a whim because it was on sale and only $5 but wow is it useful! I love it for dead heading plants, weeding, potting, and even digging holes for new plants. It’s so easy to fold up and snaps right together. I liked it so much I bought a larger size too.
