Clients constantly lose connection and Asus support is terrible
I bought this router 3 weeks ago from a local retailer. Everything was great for about 3 days, and my newer wireless devices connected at great speeds, but then my devices started losing connection to the router. My thermostat has lost the connection 3 times and won't reconnect without restarting the router. My Sonos has lost connection twice. My TV which is connected via ethernet to the router has lost connection twice.Asus support was not helpful. The first tech refused my request to speak to a manager after his troubleshooting steps were performed. I called when i wasn't experiencing a problem, and told him that. He proceeded to have me change Wi-Fi settings and i repeatedly let him know that the problem wasn't confined to Wi-Fi. The second tech also refused to transfer my call to a manager, but he did say i could send it in for a warranty repair. I will replace the router, but it won't be an Asus. I'll also make sure i purchase from a retailer that has a longer return period.
