Comprehensive treatment manual
This book is a marvel• You look up a concern and it gives you• remedies to try• herbals to try• nutritional suggestions• overall information on treating the problem• supportive care to use alongside regular medical treatment• cautionsThis book is in its 14th edition for a reason! Been using an older edition since the 90’s.This is not a teaching book, as much as it is a treatment book. If you are new to natural healing, you may wish to get some books that are instructive to go along with it. (Making teas, extracts etc). However, if you want to dive right in and start using natural remedies to help with your daily problems I can’t suggest a better book.

Still The Best Compendium of Health Information
I am really grateful for Linda Page's ongoing efforts to provide up-to-date information on alternative health. I've been using Healthy Healing for 20 years and it has never failed to address my health concerns and questions. I often look up information for family, friends and coworkers.Everyone needs a good alternative health book for home reference. After using several different titles, this book came out on top for me. Specifically, when prescription pain medicine didn't touch my pain from herniated disc, this book gave me the information I needed to relieve my pain. I basically used each of the supplements Dr. Page recommended until I found the one that worked for me. For that reason I can really understand why she lists so many supplements. I also like the fact that she recommends specific brands. I don't always use those brands and that's everyone's choice. But then I don't mind reading labels and evaluating these products on my own.I use Healthy Healing for treating minor conditions and for understanding major medical conditions. My family knows that if they start whining about some ache or pain I'm going to get out the book. For each ailment or condition it includes recommendations for nutritional therapy, superfood therapy, lifestyle/bodywork support, herbal, homeopathic and supplement therapies. There is also background information for detoxification, food and nutritional healing strategies and for recovering from surgery/illness. Also included are sections for cosmetic surgery, expecting mothers, athletes, children, pets and anti-aging. This edition has updated information on enzyme therapy, vaccines, infertility, gluten diets, homemade pet food, GMOs, green living and organic foods.I have to take issue with the comments of other reviewers regarding Dr. Page's supplements recommendations. The vast majority of the information in Healthy Healing has nothing to do with any of her products. Please note that she always includes recommendations for other supplements in addition to her own. That's great since I'm going to pick up something at the health food store to address my health concern rather than wait to receive her supplements in the mail.

This book is an awsome reference guide for everything! Well written, easy to find holistic recommendations. This a definite addition to your library.

This is the Bible for Wholistic Healing
I love this book. I started using this book in the 90s and appreciate that they have updated it with new editions as health information emerges. It’s very comprehensive.

My Health Bible
I have used Linda Page's book for years and I love it! I have the first edition and bought this one for my son, since he is always asking me for remedies from her book that I own. I love that she goes into great detail explaining so many health issues and then explains the natural treatments to use instead of synthetic drug therapy. She also has information on where to buy the products, but these days you can find most anything on Amazon or Puritan's Pride. I Highly recommend this book if you want to use natural treatments that WORK.

Still getting used to it
After several years of Balch's Prescription for Nutritional Healing books, this book is set up differently. So far, the information is clear and seems well researched; I haven't had time to do much indepth reading, but am sure it will be very helpful. I don't much care for the layout. The text is printed such that you have to turn the book sideways to read. Since it's a fairly thick book, that's a little awkward if you are taking notes or flipping back and forth from other pages, comparing entries or comments. But on the whole, I would give it at least a 4.

A must have book for personal health
This is about the fifth different edition of this guide I have purchased and the 3rd for a gift. It is like my health bible. I refer to it and have had spectacular success in healing difficult problems. I can't say enough about it. Everyone interested in taking care of healing in a non-invasive way should be using this book. It is well organized and clearly written.
