I am currently using this 6V 5Ah LiFePO4 ("lithium iron phosphate") battery to power my trail camera (aka, game camera), and it's been working very well.Most trail cameras call for 8 x AA alkaline batteries, and many manufacturers recommend against using rechargeable AAs. As a result, you could find yourself quickly going through many disposable AA batteries, especially if your camera is set to shoot long night-time videos.Most trail cameras run on 6V DC, and a 6V LiFePO4 lithium battery like this is perfect as an external power source for them. Among the many benefits of LiFePO4 batteries, they are much lighter to carry than SLA (Sealed Lead Acid) batteries of equivalent capacity.The battery terminals are ~5.1mm wide "F1" terminals. But I was able to use the easier-to-find female "spade connectors" of an appropriate size (a little over 6mm in width) to connect to these F1 terminals with no issue. On the trail camera side, I use a DC barrel connector of the size 3.5mm Outer Diameter/1.35mm Inside Diameter. (Most trail cameras seem to use this DC connector size.)As far as the charger, I don't see many (any?) low current 6V LiFePO4 chargers on the market. For myself, I just use one of those "DC-DC Buck Boost Converter" modules that are capable of adjustable Constant Current ("CC") and adjustable (maximum) voltage output as my LiFePO4 charger. (ASIN B09MVJWPZ4 - which is the same as B07VNDGFT6 - is the particular DC-DC converter module that I use and it works great as charger for small LiFePO4 batteries, both 6V as well as 12V. But there are many others like it.) For this particular 6V 5Ah LiFePO4 battery, I generally use CC value of about 0.5A (you could set it higher if you prefer) with a maximum voltage set to 7.1V (to be on the safe side).[I just noticed that the Amazon seller's website currently says in its product descriptions: "Nominal Voltage: 6.4V, Charging Voltage: 6.4±0.2v" That charging voltage is obviously wrong; they need to fix that.]Even though the battery should have a built-in BMS (battery management system) to guard against over voltage, you should apply no more than about 7.2V to its terminals, else you might permanently damage your LiFePO4 battery.I'm giving it 5 stars.

We ended up using this as part of a larger project with an inverter and couple different batteries. It worked well though it discharged faster than expected. It offers consistent juice tho, rather than a surge of power that fizzles. At the price it's a good value in my opinion, because it's so low.

Stopped taking a charge. I've had much better luck with less expensive regular batteries. This was a waste of money.

I got this battery for one of my battery backups because I didn't read properly to see that it is 6V, I only looked at the sizing and figured out if it would fit in my APC... however it clearly doesn't work because it is a 6V battery (in the APC). The battery itself is good as I confirmed with my battery tester (that supports 6V Batteries).Unfortunately I don't have anything else that is 6V so.... I guess I will give this away to someone I find who needs a 6V battery for something.

I got this battery to power a 6-volt trail cam. I have other trail cams with sealed lead acid batteries but this is my first sealed Lithium Iron Phosphate battery. The first thing I noticed is how light it is. As you can see from the pictures it weighs less than half of what a comparable 6-volt sealed lead acid battery weighs.I make my own wiring harnesses to hook the larger 6-volt batteries up to my trail cams.This system works great and you can run weeks if not months on a 6 volt battery like this before needing to recharge it. Far longer than the AA batteries that go inside the camera.

i cannot review this item because it doesnt hold a charge. it is alot smaller than i expectedso cannot imagine it is used for powering anything big

After using this for over a year I decided to write an update. It's been a pretty good battery, especially since it can be recharged over and over. But it wasn't lasting as long as I was expecting it to. So I put it on a load tester to find out what it's true capacity was. It turns out that it has only a 3.46Ah capacity as opposed to its 5Ah rating. So I'm a little disappointed with it but it's still working and recharging. If I have any more issues in the future I will update this again.

I got this pack to replace Cyclon lead-acid cells in a home-brew battery pack for a photo flash unit. They have twice the capacity and are one-third the weight of the lead acid cells. The recycle time of the flash unit is a little slower with this battery than with the lead acid cells but it is still quite fast. Overall, I'm very happy with the pack.
