I used to clean the area with hydrogen peroxide then let dry, pack the hole with the hoof stuff and again let dry, never needed to cover. Although if turning out in mucky fields the suction of the mud could bring it out. It's a good product.

Hey, I used this product to pack my boys seedy toe, I would apply it then stand him on dry ground until it dried and hardened, then he would have went out to grass as normal. I don't think you would need to wrap as long as it was given time to set.

Can the clay be used on horses that are shoes?

Yes it can, farriers will often put it under shoes when they shoe a horse and remove it when they take the shoe off again!

My horse had a crack down the middle of it hoof can it be put in there ?

Yes you can use it in cracks and holes. Really good stuff. Best to change daily as I forgot and took ages to get it out. Best to use a bigger than smaller piece too.

A must have for your grooming box

Love this product.I'm a barefoot trimmer and I recommend this product to all my clients.Any nick or crack on the hooves I go straight to my hoof stuff pot. It works great and kills of any nasty smells caused by bacteria and infection in places you can't get to and without the need for water.I have used this product on all of my horses for well over 15 years and I've never found anything that can beat it.Although you may think it's expensive, it really isn't as you use such a small amount and the pot last us (12 of our own horses) months and months.It really is a must have in my grooming box, both for my own and the horses in my care, ideal for horsey days out and it works so so well for cracks in the sole and frog and it's easily applied with a hoof pick.Great product, a must have if you love your horse 🐎 👍

Fab . Love it. Effective natural product that is helping keep a cracking in my barefoot pony''s hoof free of infection . Stays in for up to 3 days . Sticky as you like . A little difficult to pick out of the pot in cold weather but a quality product that works . Would recommend with no hesitation .

Brilliant nt

Bought for sheared heels/deep sulcus on my Suffolk horse. Stayed in really well and the split has almost disappeared. Difficult to get out of the tub in cold weather so need to warm it up a bit first
