Nice quality and easy to install
Used it to replace an outside plastic cover over a GFCI outlet on a stone wall that got broke. So far works great and easy to install.

Not like they used to be.
It was easy to install but the screws that secure it to the bell box need to go through the gasket first and then threaded partially into the bell box. The gasket does not fit the GFI outlet completely but with the cover closed it should keep the rain and snow out. The hasp that allows the cover to be locked is misaligned which would require a very tiny lock or a bit of drilling. All in all the cover is not expensive but with my years of installing many multiple units I have to admit that quality of workmanship has suffered.

This is an excellent product. I'm using it to "cover" an interior on-off switch that activates a normal 110v electrical outlet/receptacle. [switched receptacles were common in 1960s-era CA tract homes; much less common nowadays] Anyway, this switch is in my office, and sometimes visitors will "switch" it "off," thinking that it controls a desk lamp; however, it really powers my router, printer, phone chargers, etc., that I want "on" all the time. The "cover" is cast metal, and consists of a "frame" and a spring-closed-hinged "cover". My item was white, and had "Bell" embossed in raised letters on the cover [this was not shown on the picture]. The name doesn't bother me. On the frame are embossed the "UL" listing stamp, and some other building-code info. This is normal [perhaps required?] as this product can be used outdoors. There are foam/rubber gaskets for the frame/cover to protect against moisture or dampness. As you get the product, it is setup for a "GFI"-type receptacle, however, there are templates included for a regular duplex electrical outlets, an on-off switch [which is the one I used], and some sort of "round" base switch or outlet. To use it with an on-off switch, you need to remove the cutout portion of the foam in raised cover bump-out [this is obvious]. There are various switch protectors and covers [and also "lock-out" covers, which have special warning labels]. This cover is well made [cast metal], attractive, not too obvious, and usable indoors or outdoors. It can be locked or zip-tied/"tagged" closed, but I'm not using this feature. It is the cheapest of the switch covers available on Amazon. It is very versatile, and highly recommended.

Sturdy, weatherproof, secure... at a good price.
Very sturdy, and the foam seal weatherproofs it nicely. Spring-loaded to prevent accidentally leaving it open... can be padlocked if needed. Good price, delivery was fast. Compatible with all common types of outlets and switches.

Aluminium
This performs well, has what you need for standard receptacles or switches.

Quality protection
Bell is an old time name in electrical weather tight covers Known for quality. As a Home owner and on occasion helping Relatives and neighbors fix minor Electrical issues like replacing outside electrical outlets and bringing up to code with the proper GFI & weather covers, Bell (and now the various companies owned by the same corporation as bell) is my go to. This single gang cover is easy install and the cover comes with multiple back plates that should accommodate just about and electrical outlet in most homes. included is a foam gasket to help seal between the cover & the building wall. as long as your receptacle is flush to the wall, the install is a 5 minute job to replace or install.

Pros -Good quality cover -Easy to install -seems to fit fine enough even on an uneven panel surface. Cons -I had to use my old screws and my old screws didn't fit into the bottom screw hole, only the top one. -door automatically springs closed when opened (this could be a good or bad thing depending on your preference) -door opens a little less than 90 degrees instead of close to completely. Overall it doesn't seem to be the best in terms of functionality, but the aluminum cover is nice, looks clean, and does the job if you simply want to cover the outlet. Recommend 👍
