Very nice drives. These are really quiet and run cooler in my QNAP NAS than the WD Red drives I replaced. I think the helium filling helps in reducing heat. It has been a couple of decades since I have had a Toshiba drive. It is great to see that the quality is still there.

Updating this review from a 1 star. Previously rated because drive showed out of warranty in the Toshiba. It is critical to call Toshiba to verify the warranty information. Their website showed out of warranty, but the tech confirmed the drive was manufactured just a few weeks before purchase, and was under warranty through 2029. Toshiba said their warranty site is unreliable, so don't wind up missing on an actually good drive just because of their site is broken. Once installed, the drive is not as noisy as some reviews have stated. I cannot really hear it when it's seeking. Glad I didn't return this after all.

Of all the HHD's I have purchased recently, this was the only one that was adequately packaged. HDD's are easily damaged in transit and Manufacturers (and shippers) who don't take this into account will not get further purchases. It was static wrapped and isolated from impact inside the factory box. It came in another box which had no packing in it. That's a shipper problem. Seems like they are all lazy and do not care that the lifespan of the product may be reduced by in transit damage.
