I’m 29, very active, and I’ve used “normal” chemical deodorant my entire life. I decided to give this tallow deodorant a shot because of the ingredient list. Everything is sourced from nature, which is important to me. What surprised me most was how well it actually works. It smells genuinely good without being overpowering, and more importantly, it keeps me from smelling even after workouts and long days. The texture goes on smooth, doesn’t feel greasy, and doesn’t irritate my skin. If you live an active lifestyle and have been hesitant to switch away from chemical deodorants, switch to this.

Best deodorant I’ve ever used. I use their lip balm also and it’s the best. I’ve tried so many deodorants and this one lasts all day and you still smell like vanilla. Texture is perfect. I only put a little on and no stains ever!!!

I really wanted to like this product, but sadly, I do not recommend this deodorant. I am familiar with tallow deodorants and have been using different natural brands for years now. I decided to give this brand a try as it is more affordable than others I have used. Unfortunately, I think they need to work on their recipe more. It is entirely too greasy. It is extremely moist as it rolls onto your skin which #1 makes me feel sweaty and #2 soaks (oil stain) right into your shirt if you have one on/put one on right away. I would compare it to feeling like you're rubbing coconut oil into your armpits. I will say, the citrus scent is pleasant. However, I will not continue to use this and do not recommend.

My husband has been loving this deodorant made with beef tallow and essential oils like sweet orange and bergamot. The ingredient list is super clean and simple, plus it has just the right amount of baking soda. He works at FedEx, moves all day, and still smells fresh. It works amazingly well for him, and he’s actually excited to use it every morning.

Dr. Dave's Primal Essence Extra Strength Tallow Deodorant - Aluminum-Free - Baking Soda, Beeswax, Coconut Oil and Mango Butter - Vanilla and Sandalwood: - the Bad: 1. for me I am in the category of people (man) who this burned, itched, and irritated severely to the point of driving me to insane scratch and rub my under arms, thank God I did not try it below the belt. 2. The on application was really greasy, where it left grease (tallow/fat/(I guess beef) stain in my shirts. - the Good: 1. It worked, I did not sweat, did not stink, the smell of this particular scent was very mile and alluring. My wife loved the scent, but she hated what it did the shirts (stains). My conclusion: Point 1, I am going to end my quest for a clean deodorant that does all the things well, why, because these niche offerings are quite expensive, and after trying a few, the tally is a couple hundred bucks (Amazon, feel free to check my purchase history to keep me honest). Point 2, most just do not flat out work at all, the ones that do work, only do 1 to 2 thing in the "ok" category, 1 always being smell good, and that is about it for most. HOWEVER, this one does several things well, however, there is just that one thing it does HORRIBLY, and that is burns/rash/irritate the skin. ----- SO I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS ONE - but 3 stars for the smell and it works, but doesn't work (for me)!

I have tried so many different deodorants i.e., men’s, women’s, “clinical” strength, natural, etc. The only product that worked was Isomers DeoDry which is no longer available. I actually panicked. Anyway, the husband and I are in our 60s and decided we need to avoid ingredients that allegedly cause Alzheimer’s. So back to the “natural” products we go. Did a bit of research on tallow based products and decided what the heck. I LOVE this product! It smells so nice, very subtle, but very nice. And…drum roll…IT WORKS!

Nice natural deodorant. Bit Pricy, but it does not irritate my skin. Smells good. Goes on easy but in the summer its a bit clumpy.

I wanted to love this product! 4-6hours is the lifespan of not having pit odor, using this product. It doesn't break me out. It does leave my skin so very moisturized. It just doesn't hold up to keeping you smelling fresh.
