On the fence? Just buy it!
Look, I get it, the price on this thing is a hard pill to swallow. It’s easy to look at a £500 air fryer and think it’s just fancy marketing, but after using the Typhur Dome, I’ve realized it’s more like an industrial upgrade for your kitchen than just another gadget. The Honest Breakdown It’s basically a Quiet Beast: Most air fryers sound like a jet taking off in your kitchen. This one uses a brushless motor that’s actually quiet enough to have a normal conversation right next to it, around 55dB. Zero "Flipping" Required: Because it has dual heating elements at the top and bottom, you don't have to stand there shaking the basket every five minutes to get an even cook. The Speed is Real: It doesn't need to preheat for most modes. It’s consistently about 30–40% faster than traditional air fryers, I’ve seen 32 wings done in about 14 minutes. The "Self-Clean" isn't a Gimmick: The top cavity has a high-heat mode that actually breaks down grease so you aren't scrubbing the internal fan or heating elements. The basket itself is ceramic-coated and wipes clean in seconds. It's Massive: Fair warning, this thing takes up serious counter space. It’s deep and heavy, but the upside is you can fit a full 12-inch pizza or a whole batch of wings in a single layer. Is it worth it? If you just want to heat up some nuggets once a week, then no, stick to a cheap Ninja. But if you value high-performance gear that saves you time and actually lasts, the build quality here is on another level. It’s replaced my toaster, my oven, and my old air fryer in one move.

Brilliant customer service from Typhur
I have used this everyday since buying it last October and think it's exceptional. This week I had to contact Typhur customer service following a problem that I created myself. They came back to me with an hour in the evening and replaced/ sorted out my problem within 5 days. No fuss they just sorted it.

An absolutely game changer!
This is a game changer! The technology of this air fryer is amazing as it cleans itself when needed, and it is super quiet when it's on. The large dish allows for great quantities of food to be cooked all at once and the results are even and you will not get those bits and pieces undercooked anymore. The cleaning of the dish is as easy as it gets- just throw it into your dishwasher and that's it! Price wise is on the expensive side but it is worth every penny! Really high quality!

Not as impressive as the hype
After getting a free air fryer through a promotion with my fridge, I was bought into the air fryer convenience, successfully replacing our fridge with it. However the form factor led me to discovering this machine, which has the widest base of any air fryers, meaning pizza is back on the menu! The final product itself doesn't feel as premium as I expected for this price point, but as long as it does what it's designed to do, I'm not too bothered by it. And a good job it does with the cooking, we've not had a meal come out poorly, with the exception of singeing our baking paper poking up the first time and some croissant flakes occasionally. It's still let down by the capacitive touch panel unfortunately, with it often ignoring our fingers and refusing to turn on until we touched it just right. I assumed originally that this may be the issue of grease build up but having cleaned it with soap the problem persists, just annoying enough that we run bets on whether we can turn it on first try ever time. The accessories are also a bit disappointing. Other air fryers seem to come with trays and pans for meals like pasta bakes and what not but not this expensive machine! We ended up getting a couple of pyrex glass dishes with smooth bottoms to avoid scratching the main container. The app's notification is actually kinda useful, I can tell when my other half is making breakfast when I'm at work. I just wish I can reprogram the different presets (very American defaults) to use different modes so I can add bake (my most used mode) as a preset on there without needing to use the app.

Must be the best air fryer I think can open in app and control it from there. Plus has self cleaning mode

Excellent air fryer. Very even heating and cooks food evenly. Does require 120V so you may need a transformer if not in the US.

I had an air fryer by another manufacturer that I thought worked very well. I decided to try the Typhur 2 after seeing reviews on YouTube. I have been amazed at how well it cooks things. The preset temps and times didn't seem like they would be enough...they were. Frozen pizza - 14 minutes gets a very crispy crust. Wings are outstanding. The cool thing is that you don't need to turn them half way through because the Typhur has heating elements above AND below the food. I just put the wings in and wait for the unit to notify me on my iWatch. I cooked salmon filets with the skin-side down using a meat thermometer. When they hit the proper temp, the meat was perfect and the skin was very crispy. That surprised me. It was as good as using fish cage on the grill but easier to get the entire filet out and much easier to clean. There is a height limitation in the Typhur that I didn't have before, but the reality is that I don't need that height for many things. I couldn't put a whole chicken in it, but I never cooked whole chickens before. At this point in time, assuming that the unit doesn't fail prematurely (like I know what that is), I would buy this unit again in a heart beat. Well worth the extra bucks.

Amazing air fryer! Quietest I ever heard, cooks so well and evenly - be it pizza, nuggies, a flattened chicken whatever! Super easy to clean too. As a household with teenagers, it’s priceless.

We splurged on this and are very happy with the purchase. Whether any air fryer could be worth this price is one question. There is no doubt this appliance is well built with high quality materials and components. Due to the premium nature of this beast, the result is a device that is easy to use and clean. The app is required to access certain features/presets of the AF, but is not necessary. The cooking performance is exceptional, and assuming your counter/space has enough clearance for this, it should satisfy your cooking requirements and then some. The low profile design seems to result in a more even cook throughout. Chicken, salmon, and various veggies, and frozen mini pizzas have come out oh so good. I don't love being somewhat tied to an app, but it performs very well once you have it configured and remote notifications are obviously welcome. It won't pair with more than one device but you can setup the AF with one account and share that account with other users. Will update this review (hopefully) over the years as it is an investment. Whether it is worth the price tag is up to you. The cook in our family swears this is "much better" than the previous AF (Instant Pot), and she uses the AF daily. The Dome 2 Is a champ for large, low-profile loads. We wouldn't bake or air fry a whole chicken or turkey anyway, so the low profile design is not a constraint for us. It was definitely a splurge/luxury purchase but no regrets, keeping in mind this costs 2/3X more than "what most people need", ourselves included.
