16 Feet RG58 Pure Copper Coax Cable NMO to PL259

Work great and looks good when mounted properly. Will need to drill three holes for the mount and potentially one through the firewall for the cable. I prefer to come up underneath and through the gap in the shifter area rather than drilling another hole through the firewall. The cable is appropriate build and the mount is very secure. Note I use care washes a lot and rather than taking off the primary antenna and then putting the cap on every time, I've started to use an antenna that looks like a cap, but just a little taller (sold on amazon). It doesn't perform as well as a full sized antenna, but I can go through car washes all day and not have to change anything, while still using the radio.

I've mounted this on the roof of my pop-up camper that sits in the bed of my Tacoma. I've mounted a 5/8 wave 2 meter antenna on it and so far it does exactly what it is designed for with no problems, even when driving at highway speeds for extended periods of time. I also like that it comes with a watertight cap that you can use to protect the NMO mount if/when you decide to remove the antenna, such as in situations where you'll be encountering low branches that might damage the antenna. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Hole in stainless bracket is too large for threaded brass base. Also, coax conductor is soldered to center conductor in threaded brass base. This is a weak point for mechanical failure and exposure

IIts pretty good forr the price, but im al little concerned with the quality of the connecction to the bottom of the nmo connector

Works very well, build is strong although the plastics price covering the end of screw on is loose a good fix is electrical tape so it doesn’t come loose. Fits ok depending on the vehicle. For the screws, get #7 wafer screws. Overall, I get good reception using nmo mount with a fire stick adapter.

Antenna base works great. Only thing is on the bottom where coax meets mount is a little bulky. Protective cab is nice when antenna is not in use.
