It won’t spin (clean itself) if the cat sticks their head inside to watch though, so I’ve had to hold him while it cleans. The process only takes about 30-60 seconds. It’s really quite & decently clean. When my cat leaves the box he does trail out litter with him that gets on the entryway of the box, but that happens even with regular boxes so nbd. The little ramp that comes with it helps with this problem so much though! He scratches it when he’s done with his business & I did buy a mat for underneath to help catch litter. The underneath part that holds poop seems to work perfectly, & with one cat should only need to be emptied once a week ish. I live in a studio apartment & it doesn’t smell like cat in here at all. I can’t smell poop or pee even when I’m up close to it. (I do add a small amount of the baking-soda litter deodorizer as well as the deodorizer that comes w this litter robot) It does come with garbage bags but I’ve already lost them, any small garbage bag seems to work. It will beep at you if you need to adjust the bag too. Overall I’m very happy with it & recommend if you’ve been searching for an automatic litter box. Review: Faulty - just as return window closed. - Faulty box does not work properly. Does not complete cleaning cycle leaving feces and urine in box. Constantly have to keep pressing button to clean or unplug the unit which then dumps all litter! Red light indicator on even with new bag and empty bin! Laud beeping and hassle to do manually. total waste of litter. No option to contact seller through desertcart

Horrible!
This litter box advertises up to 10 days before you have to clean it, I have 2 kittens so I figured 4-5 days... NOPE! Lucky if I get two days. When the tray gets full, instead of returning to a neutral position so that the cats can use it until I get to a chance to clean out the tray, it stays in the emptying position so the cats can't use it. This morning it dumped all of the litter into the tray so I had a mountain of litter that ended up on the floor as I pulled the tray out. I bought this because I have a bad back and was looking for an easier way to maintain their little box, but so far it has been way more hassle than it is worth. Also, it is supposed to connect to bluetooth... again NOPE. I don't know if other brands have these same problems, or just this one. Bottom line, I do not recommend.

Excellent! Here are some Pro Tips
This is our second Petree self-cleaning litter box and we are huge fans. Got the first four years ago - ye olde round one - and this is an awesome upgrade! Love the WiFi aspect, so we can make sure all is well from afar. With the old one, our cat used to climb on top and it would get stuck, so this is much better that it’s in two parts and wouldn’t get stuck, although he doesn’t try and climb it. It’s a bit particular ~ you have to make sure the liner bag is well pressed into the bin and doesn’t stick up, or the sensor will think the bag is full. As long as you do that, you’re good to go. Also if you put too much litter in at once, it will be off balance and you’ll have to repeatedly press the Go button until it goes through a whole cycle. But if you just do a little every few days you’ll be fine. Also KEY POINT: Just tap the button if you need to manually make it spin, don't hold it or it will dump all of the litter. I do wish they made biodegradable bags versus plastic, but it holds a whole WEEK of waste, so WOW!! **UPDATE! I made it work with SuperBio 13 gallon biodegradable garbage bags! Just don't open them all the way so they'll be easier to flatten, but the mouth is wide enough to fit over the lip of the bag holder thing in the bottom tray. We looked around a lot because of the mixed reviews, but we’ve been really impressed with Petree and we’ve had this for about 4 months and are very happy. BONUS! Our cat LOVES the cardboard ramp! He uses it as a scratching post as well and went right to it, so thanks for the thoughtfulness, peeps! Love to all and your furbabies~

Love the convenience
The convenience of the cleaning is amazing. It works well with the app and the app is always up to date. The only issue I'm having is that after maybe 3 days the litter smells really bad, of course because it's what's been scooped up. This worked amazing when my husband and I left for a 5 day trip.

Useless
Worked for less than a month and now it won’t stop “cleaning” with zero support to fix it. Tried contacting over and over with no help. And now it’s basically a regular litter box that I have to scoop. What a waste of $300

Best investment ever!
We have 3 cats; one chunky 3 yr old and 2 kittens and they all love it! Its bigger than i expected and works better than i could ve imagined. Everyone fits perfectly. Its super quiet and cleans everytime the cats use it so it isnt stinky! We were cleaning the litter box every 2-3 days and now we just change the bag every week. 10/5 stars!

Convenient!
We’ve had this for about a week now and it’s been going pretty well! I did empty the waste bin before it said it was full as it did begin to smell after a few days - but having to dump the bin is so much easier and cleaner then scooping litter everyday. My kitty took to it just fine. Only problem I have had is that for some reason my girl likes to pee on the sides of her box and kick litter for fun I suppose. This has nothing to do with the functionality of this box though. Just my kitty. I did notice peculiar verbiage in the Tuya app. Pic included. I’m guessing this might have been a mistranslation during programming. It was pretty freaking silly.
