High-Quality
I recently acquired the Rode AI-1 USB Audio Interface in black, and it has become an invaluable addition to my recording setup. Below are the highlights: Sound Quality The audio clarity is phenomenal. The preamps are noise-free, and the 24-bit depth ensures high-quality recordings that are clear and crisp. Ease of Use With its straightforward interface, the Rode AI-1 is a plug-and-play device that requires minimal setup. This makes it suitable for both professionals and beginners alike. Build Quality Constructed with a robust, all-metal chassis, the device feels solid and durable. The black finish adds an aesthetic touch without attracting fingerprints or smudges. Connectivity The USB connection ensures compatibility with most systems and software. I experienced zero latency during my recording sessions, a testament to the AI-1's performance capabilities. Portability The compact size of the Rode AI-1 makes it an ideal choice for mobile setups or space-constrained studios. In summary, the Rode AI-1 USB Audio Interface offers top-notch sound quality, ease of use, and a durable build, all in a compact package. It's a solid investment for anyone serious about audio recording.

Great sounding interface!
The Rode AI-1 is very small and compact, with a great PreAmp with no discernible noise. The thing feels like it's built like a tank with it's all metal construction and feels like it will last. Plus it utilizes a USB C connection so that is very nice! If you need a small, well built interface with great a PreAmp then pick this up! EDIT 11/28/18: Been using this for a while now, often times when I restart the computer the interface will fail to connect. It displays a red light on the 48V light. pressing the button to enable 48V does nothing. After a series of unplugging and replugging it often comes back after 10 tries. Not my USB ports. I will increase the rating if this issue happens to get fixed but for now, I do not recommend this until this issue is fixed. Still sounds very good though. EDIT: 1/1/19 I have been in contact with Rode and they have provided me with a beta firmware and it has seemed to fix this issue, should you experience this issue, contact them and ask for the firmware if it is not already on there website by the time you read this. (Firmware at the time of reading for the beta firmware is 1.2.3) EDIT: 1/24/20 Interface is still going strong, FW is still 1.2.3 (and is now the current version) and it still sounds great had has been performing wonderfully!

Good, clear high quality
So I use a thunderbolt 3 cable and thunderbolt 3 for this. Don't have to. But I don't know if that helps out with the speed. I already had a cable and was planning to use this with an unused port on my imac. I can say its very clear. I can't really use speakers at home So I do use the outs to connect to a higher ohm headphone amp. I can say it works really well and is very clear. I do notice that I have to unplug it every week or so as it will not play sound from time to time. I think as someone who creates content and works fixing computer issues. This is very acceptable and normal. I enjoy it especially with my higher end headphones 500 ohms plus. I use to stream pandora most of the time while drawing or just on logic x pro for making music here and there. Then again I have a really souped up imac that I bought for almost 4k usd so that probably helps as well. It does not lag using thunderbolt 3 (this is only usb 3 i believe) its all I need just to plug in a mic the keyboard plugs into the mac. I haven't noticed any lag yet but you do have peace of mind with their feature where you can record without latency. Almost bought the universal's arrow. I think this is a smarter buy if you just need something to sing on or hook up a guitar to. USb 3 is fairly quick I don't see why You'd need more than that. If you get effects heavy then yeah but get you a thousand dollar option with on board processors right?

It great until it isn’t (Watch and listen to video)
I’ve always seen RODE to be on the high end of audio equipment. This little interface looks, feels, and sounds great. But the catch is it’s reliability. The interface is fine 80% of time (That I used it) but it a glitch here and there, and that was fine to over look. But when it’s reliability goes from 80% down to 20% within the first 2 weeks.... THATS NOT A GOOD THING! I was getting horrible ear piercing electronic noise coming from the audio output (Headphones) It’s not my microphone, not my computer, it’s the interface. Videos, music, and anything that has audio.... I can’t tolerate it anymore. I don’t know if it’s only my interface, but it sure as heck not worth the money I paid for it. Returning it as soon as I can. My advice is to probably look for another interface as there are many more options. *the video shows what I’m talking about, also NO the electric mess of audio is not apart of the music.

Interfaz miy util para podcasters. Tiene solo una salida de micrófono, que es una limitación, pero cuando se utiliza solamente un micrófono y unos audífonos para poder escuchar su vos en vivo son perfectos.

The mic preamp has really good gain, getting good levels on the notoriously hard to amp Shure SM7B (more than enough to clip) at around 90% on the input pot. The headphone amp is also really powerful, the 12 o'clock (50%) point drives my 50 ohm planar magnetics (Fostex T60RP) to unsafe levels. Probably the most versatile audio interface in terms of what input/output hardware you can use with it, I sold my Steinberg UR-22C + Fethead combo and am now just using SM7B and headphones connected directly.

El único detalle que recomiendo revisar es que al tener conectada la interfaz a la computadora se verifique que el bit rate este sea el mismo para grabación como para reproducción, de otra manera parecerá que solo funcionan los audífonos o el micrófono
