I installed this myself on the wall with my electric screwdriver. It’s very sturdy does not come loose and makes it easy to get out of the shower.

This is an update to my original review. I still like the handles very much, but they need to be checked for tightness at least once a week. For some reason, they can become loose - it is easy to fix, just release the "lock" on the handle and lock it again. However, if the person using the handles is not strong enough to re-lock the handle or there is not someone to check and re-lock if necessary, than I would not get this product.

Has worked so well when I step in and out of the shower. Very happy with it. Good price as well.

Simple to install. I used a stud finder to anchor four of the six screws and used the drywall anchors for the other two. Looks great. Feels sturdy.

I have purchased a number of these safety grab bars over the past few years (from various manufacturers) both for indoor and outdoor use, and all of them were quality items. However, I chose this product this time because I needed a specific size to fit between two posts on an outdoor railing. As I was installing it, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the holes on the two disks that cover the screw plates are lined with a rubber gasket that holds the cover plate tightly onto the rod and will, no doubt, prevent water from getting under the plate. I appreciated that upgrade.
