My son has one leg that is slightly longer than the other, and makes his lower back hurt occasionally. Our chiropractor recommended these for him to put in his shoes to help straighten his back to reduce the pain. These have a great sticky bottom that attaches easily to the inside of your shoe sole. And since we only need them in one shoe, we have backups for his future shoes. In some cases, you may stack them on top of each other, depending on the severity of the difference in length of the leg, we only needed one for my son. Doing this definitely helped relieve/reduce his back pain and he said they were very concerned on his heel.

A great product. I have them glued into a few pairs of shoes, to allow for my 1/2" shorter leg. I also have a few just floating so that i can slip them into dress shoes or shoes I don't wear often.

This specific item was recommended for my husband by his physical therapist. He says they are very helpful in easing the pain in his leg that is shorter than the other. Ask your podiatrist or a physical therapist if they are familiar with these heel inserts.
