bought this 18 gauge, 100 ft wire for my daughter’s school project, and it worked perfectly! The wire is strong yet flexible, making it easy to shape and cut as needed. This wire is perfect for nickel electroplating. I use it to hold the part suspended in the nickel plating solution. This wire does not contaminate it and contributes to better plating results - just perfectly!

Good use in wire wrapping. Bends easy does what you want it to. For my work it's a little to soft and thing. I prefer a thicker more stable wire but works well.

I use this to make 4-wire busses to connect a string of Adafruit 7-segment display backpacks. The copper takes solder very well and is pliable enough to do pretty much whatever you want but stiff enough to stay in the shape you give it. These displays have one set of four through-holes for berg/dupont pins. Each display has an address and all of the lines are in common: power, ground, clock, and data. Having only one set of holes they then require separate wires for each display in whatever project you’re building and that leads quickly to a mass of wiring. It would be much better if they’d added another parallel set of holes for daisy-chaining, and they do have QUIK connectors but those are no better at reducing wiring clutter. Instead I strung 4 displays onto four strands of about 10” of this copper wire and then rotated each display down 90º so the wire can pass over the board edge, down through the hole, and then pass under each device to the next one in the chain. A touch of solder on each through hole after it’s all bolted down makes the connection permanent. Works a treat and now my project is very very clean without all those interconnects. I also strung on some 4-wire looms off of strips of pins but the looms were not needed - the copper wire is plenty stiff enough to stay in place. This wire is .024” in diameter and the bare end of it is perfectly sized to function as the pin to a female dupont connector tho it’s best to use some needle nosed pliers to stabilize the wire as you’re plugging the dupont connector onto it.

This thick yet flexible copper wiring is exactly what my son needed for his H.S.D.I.Y.Science project.Its easy to cut and bend to manipulate the positioning,There’s also a generous amount of it on the large spool for numerous trials it’s a multi purpose product so it can be used for my arts and craft items too.The amount I got for the reasonable price was a great deal considering my purchase at other sites had less than the amount than this one.This size is awesome and will last making it a great and recommendable purchase
