Easy setup and works great
This light feels really high quality right out of the box. I was worried that the included strap and mount wouldn't fit on my aero seat tube, but it did without issue. Setup with the included app was really easy following the instructions: follow the QR, download the app, connect via wifi, and that was it (I'm using an Iphone, so I can't speak to android setup). I did have to restart the light after pairing with the phone so it came out of "abnormal" mode with the white ring around the camera, but then everything functioned as normal. On the road, this has performed exactly as expected and hasn't missed any vehicles coming up from behind. It's even more helpful than I had expected to be able to trust the SeeMee and let it do its job. Occasionally, it will pick up an oncoming large truck or other vehicle after it passes and alarm as if it's an approaching vehicle, but it's pretty rare and I would rather it was on the sensitive side than have it miss cars coming from behind! As a light, it is certainly bright enough and has the usual low and high brightness, as well as two flashing modes. I really like that it casts light to the sides, which shines off your legs when it's darker out and makes you look even bigger/brighter. The SeeMee DV has worked perfectly since setup and the price was great compared to other options. Would definitely recommend to anyone considering it!

Used, not working item.
Received a used item. It did not even turn on.Scratches all around the body, dirty and missing mount and a SD card.Guess somebody returned a broken item and did not check the functionality and resold it.

Will record an accident and that is good enough for me.
I like the simplicity of the light/camera. Just turn it on like any other bike tail light and it starts recording video as well. The video quality is good enough to get information if I am ever in an accident or hit by a driver. Easiest way to transfer video is to remove the sd card and download video. No need to use the app. I don't use the app at all. For some, the cruddy app is a dealbreaker. I like not needing the app, this adds to the DV's simplicity. I doubt the video quality would be high enough if you want to post rides on YouTube or something like that. But the quality is more than good enough to identify someone or to use in evidence if you ever needed to sue or prosecute following an accident. The light works great and seems to be bright enough.I do wish that the light came with the saddle mount as well as the seat post mount. It seems like they cheaped out here forcing you tobuy another accessory for different mounting options.

Solid Build Quality, Super Bright
This light has really solid build construction, it's compact without being too small. Charging via USB-C is so nice since all my other gear uses USB-C now (Garmin Edge computer, GoPro's, other Magicshine lights), which helps keep my charging station tidy. The manual describes the different modes, but it's really intuitive without the manual. I was happily surprised to see this came with a 16gb microSD card. The light has a nice feature where it can only record detected incidents (5 seconds before and 60 seconds after), this is handy and nice piece of mind when you don't want to be recording everything.Really solid product, I've been really happy with all my Magicshine stuff!

good but flawed
I like this as a tail light. it does give you a camera option to see behind you, but there is one big caveat as to why i do not use it as I intended/expected. You cannot use the camera and still use any sort of internet on your phone. If your place was to use this as a central rear view mirror on your handlebar, then I hope you also do not want to stream a podcast or music. It uses wifi as a connection when it should use bluetooth. I was hoping to remove my mirror from my bars to simplify things to a phone holder and light holder, but alas.I do still like it, and it does give peace of mind knowing that it is recording in case something happens. Then the footage can be recovered, or be used for yourself.Battery life is amazing. This can record and be a lighted tail light all week for my use case, an 11.6 mile commute, and still has charge after 5 rides back and forth.Mounting is iffy. I use a second elastic around it to secure it. Something this expensive on a mini garmin mount felt an extra rubber tie, or a clip to secure elsewhere should have been included. maybe even a ring you can improvise the rest on your own. I just hot glued on a ring the back to use with the elastic to make sure things stay on.also on the mounting it would have been nice to have something that would work to mount on a basket or tail bag as I would see this more useful to commuters who likely have a rear bag/basket which would block the seat post.

App Not Compatible
I have a 2023 Motorola G5 Stylus running Android 13. The app for this is not compatible with this phone. However. It is compatible with my 2021 Motorola Hyper One running Android 11. So, if I want to use this item I have to now carry my old cell phone with me on rides. Disappointing to say the least. You should at least make sure that your app is compatible with the latest phones.

Deceptive picture
The light and camera both work as described. However, the picture on my phone screen is deceiving. I thought seeing what was behind me would provide some reassurance. However, the picture actually heightens my anxiety. I live in the US (traffic on the right). A car comes up behind me, and instead of seeming to steer over to the left of the road on my phone, it appears to steer to the right, seemingly about to hit me. With a mirror, the car passing on my left would appear on the left side of the image. With this camera, the car appears on the right side of the image. Deceiving, and a little scary. I don’t know why they can’t put a setting to flip the image. Also annoying is about a one second lag between reality and the picture. The car has passed me, but still appears on the screen. Almost makes you think that there are two cars.Probably going to return it. It’s s shame, because otherwise the product has a lot to offer.
