Wow! This seat is sturdy, sleek, and looks nice. You have to make sure to anchor it really well into the wall, and in a bathroom shower, take care going through the tile. It could also be used in other places in the house (laundry room?), or even on a porch -anywhere you need a seat at times but don't want a chair there taking up space!The seat itself is heavy duty, so as long as it is securely anchored into the wall, you can be confident it will hold up well. It is also easy to wipe down due to its minimalistic design. Very nice -asthetically pleasing and functional!

I got this specifically to install in the shower for an elderly person. Upon inspection the seat seems to be sturdy. It is heavy and not flimsy. The seat seems durable and able to handle some weight. The issue I have is the mounting bracket and the screws. The mounting bracket is made of hard plastic and the top part of it is chrome like. Meaning its plastic made to look like chrome, which in my experience tends to rub off quickly. Since I mounted this in the shower I can only assume that will be the end outcome. The mounting bracket was easy to install thanks to their guiding sticker. It does say it can hold up to 440lbs, however the size of the seat is on the small side for someone near that size. This seat would be great for someone that is small.
