These shoes have quickly become my go-to for serious hiking. I’ve tried a lot of different big brands over the years, but the fit on the Terraventure 4 is in a different league. The toebox is generous without feeling sloppy, and the overall shape of the shoe just works with my feet in a way that most others don’t.What stands out most is the stability. Whether I’m on rocky trails, loose gravel, or uneven forest paths, these shoes provide a solid, planted feel that gives me confidence with every step. The 3mm drop keeps me feeling connected to the ground while still offering enough cushion for longer treks. I’ve put in some full-day hikes with these already and my feet felt supported the entire time.Durability also seems promising so far. The materials feel tough without being heavy, and the outsole grips well on both wet and dry surfaces. These aren’t flashy shoes, but if you care more about performance and comfort than trendiness, they absolutely deliver.Highly recommend for anyone who hikes regularly and wants a shoe that balances comfort, support, and a proper anatomical fit. I’ll be sticking with Topo for the long haul.

These are my favorite shoes, and I have three pairs of them (plus a couple pairs of the prior model). I do a lot of walking around home (3-5 miles almost every day for exercise), and I like to do Camino walks in Europe. These were great on the 490-mile French Camino, and they held up well for the rougher terrain of the 103-mile Tour du Mont Blanc hike. They were great for the Timberline Trail around Mount Hood in Oregon. In short, they're comfortable on terrain from sidewalks to rough rocks. I recommend pairing them with Superfeet Hike cushioned insoles. Feet come in many shapes, so these might not work for you, but they sure are nice for me. One note about comfort: There's a well-known brand of shoes that has become very popular in recent years, and people like them because they feel so plush and comfortable when you put them on. These Topo shoes won't wow you when you first put them on. They feel pretty good, but nothing to write home about. Where they excel is that after 15 miles on the trail, they STILL feel pretty good. That's far more important.

I wear a wide 10 shoe and this one has been great. Seems hard to find a good fitting shoe these days

Topo doesn't disappoint, I also have their running shoes. My only complaint is that the sole feels extremely thin and I had to replace it from stock. I wore the stock soles for two hikes and my feet started to feel pain after a couple miles on the trail. The running version has good soles, not sure why they cut back on this one.

Top notch- after 3, 9+ mile hikes over some extremely rugged non-trail terrain, these performed with flying colors. I use Altra lone peaks for most hikes but after long backpacks in the Grand Canyon over some non-corridor trails, I felt like I needed more bottom of my feet protection over rough routes with a full backpack. I needed to prove these on day hikes first and they were great. Next it’s the test of a significant backpack in the next few weeks.

Found these uncomfortable to wear. Inside the shoe, at the bottom of the tongue there seems to be fabric that rubs against the top of my feet. Both shoes. Love the look and the weight. Ton of traction. But couldn’t do more than 3-4 miles before the top of my feet were rubbing raw. This should be easily correctable in future models and will buy again if fixed.

Great fit works well with some break in required not much straight forward great shoes 500 plus on my last set recommend the street version for bike path sidewalk road etc
