The item in the picture is not a full brim hard hat..this is baseball cap style..

Can you flip the hard hat around and wear it backwards?

Yes, the 8pt harness is removable and can be installed with the bill forward and back ward. I wear mine backwards as well.

Is this hard hat light

Yes it is I own two of them white for the summer days and black one for the rest of the year
