The product is full disappointment as it worked very little time and burnt. It became overheated after 2 minutes of work. And finally started igniting and burnt.

Wasn't sure which bed vacuum to buy, but this Boreas Handheld turns out - so far only had 2 days and 1 - 1/2 hr cleaning, to be a great buy. + great suction but not so strong that it sucks in a sheet or pillow case or curtain into the vacuum chamber. + Cleans well. I emptied the filter after each vacuum to see how well it worked and the performance was really good. Cleaned the filter with soft brush each time and tapped the filter body on sink surface to remove the extra fine dirt, dust and hair. + I vacuumed a sofa, work chair, my bed mattress and the memory foam topper which good results. The vacuum suction is strong and you can feel it suck against the vacuumed object. You can feel the vibration action on more firm surfaces, which I assume helps shake loose dirt. + I was able to vacuum my bedroom curtains and even the mattress cover and blankets and sheets. This allow for touch up before going to bed as I have allergies to dust mite dropping and particles in the air. - Minus so far: The suction is stronger when you keep the filter clean. Once the filter clogs up a bit the suction drops about 25%, but not enough to degrade the efficiency too much - The ultra violet C only comes on on firm surfaces. I was able to make it work most times but on softer surfaces it did not operate. 1 month review: Rating after month of use: Still an excellent machine, I use it nightly to vacuum my sheets and pillows - amazing how much lint/dirt/hair/fibers it picks up from the day, and too think I was breathing in some of this before I bought this product. I would recommend buying the 2 pack of filters so you could rotate in a clean washed filter. Also I found the best way to clean the filter after each use is tap the small bottom on a hard object - on a sink - which easily removes the the accumulated gunk.

Unfortunately, this device is not safe to use. Every time it's used, it emits the smell of melting ABS plastic. There is zero internal cooling, and the device shuts down to 'prevent overheating' after just a few minutes of operation. This is not worth the risk and not worth the price.

My mother has used this every night for the past two years since I purchased it for her. It is a perfect item and is still working like it's brand new.
