My son selected this suit to be part of his Halloween costume and it worked perfectly! He's 10 yrs old, average height and build, and Medium fits well with enough room to wear additional layers under the suit. The fabric of the suit itself is pretty thin, but durable, so being able to wear layers underneath is a must in the midwest! I'm very pleased with the quality and fit of this suit and my son got tons of compliments on his costume!

If it is small, the edges of the fabric make noise when they rub up against anything.
