QUICK CONNECT - Do I have to buy a quick connect piece for the hose to use with this sprinkler?

No i just attach it to the hose and it’s the best sprinkler because it rotates and gets the whole lawn. I do have a quick connecter on mine.

Is the base solid or hollow?

It is hollow. That however is not the reason I don't like it, I found that several of these pulsating sprinklers don't have an adjustment dial on the top, instead they have a metal flapper that you partially push down which is not nearly as elegant or straightforward or effective... I suggest looking for other models that have the dial on top for mIn and max distance which makes them MUCH easier to use.

Nicely Designed

I’m done with the spike sprinkler heads. They’re ok, but moving this thing around is a lot easier and the adjustments are as you’d expect. Seems well made, shoots water out a good distance. Recommended.

Yard sprinkler

A well made sprinkler. Only issue is it’s light weight. I bolted on a lead dive weight to keep it in place when I turn the water on fully. It does come with 5 inch wire spikes that would likely keep the sprinkler in place.
