I love this dryer!
Amazing dryer with a VERY strong air flow. The straightener attachment works great. Pretty loud though is my only complaint I wish they could dampen that somehow it was somewhere near 87-90db! Dries my hair SO fast tho! Ill just have to wear earplugs. :) Gets really hot but u can also set it low. I found it easier to use than the dyson because their filter was on the handle I kept covering it. A LOT cheaper too! The shark is light as well! My hair was soft after I got the hang of it took me a couple times. Great design.

The hair dryer for thick hair
Definitely worth it. I have really thick, long hair. This cut dry time in half. It has 3 different heat settings or you can turn the heat off. It also has the 3 different speed settings. The design is sleek, easy to use and it’s quiet (in my opinion). I’ve only had it about a week but so far I love it. Feels like salon quality.

Solid dryer (after some trial and error)
I've held off on this review for a few months just to see if I ended up changing my mind. I have 2b/2cish hair and style/wash using curly girl method always. I do diffuse to dry anytime I am actually styling my hair. I've had the xtava blow dryer and the black orchid diffuser for 5 years and have had no real complaints with it, until lately the dryer is melting the plastic of the diffuser. the xtava is quite heavy as hair dryers go, and with the diffuser it is also sizable. This one is WILDLY smaller, lighter than the Xtava. And probably more so than any other hair dryer I've ever used. I mean...it is TINY. But its a beast. It doesnt get as hot as the xtava (though still plenty hot...hot enough that my 7 year old can't use the high heat setting) and blows like crazy. The diffuser is smaller than I had hoped and my initial attempts at using it didnt give me what I wanted, and I was kind of disappointed. But after some trial and error and just working out what to do differently - this thing is great. It does dry my hair significantly faster, its light and easy to manage. The cord is nice and long. The diffuser clicks/locks on, so it never falls off. its not particularly noisy. The price is a little steep for me...so that gives me some pause, but if it lasts more than 5 years, I'll consider it well worth the price.

Great Blow Dryer But Bulky Cord
I am giving the Shark SpeedStyle Pro four stars instead of five stars because of the power cord (we’ll get to that). The dryer, itself, is light weight and easy to handle. I have dry, color-treated hair, and I find the Shark helps keep frizz down and doesn’t give me the heat damage my old ConAir did. I use the Concentrator attachment all the time, and I use the Anti-Frizz attachment on occasion. The “cool air” button is easy to reach while you’re drying your hair. It dries my hair quickly without causing static. The power cord, though, ugh. There is a heavy box thing (power adapter? shock prevention?) near the plug that makes the power cord bulky and difficult to wrap up neatly. The extra weight and bulk makes it harder to store or pack in a suitcase. Perhaps the box thing is unavoidable, but I can’t help but think there are no women on Shark’s electrical engineering team. That said, I’ve gotten over my disappointment with the power cord, and I do really like this blow dryer. It’s my first “high-end” blow dryer, and I do feel it is worth the extra cost. Assuming it has a good, long lifespan, I’ll consider it a good choice. So far, so good.

Great Hair Dryer
This is such a great hair dryer. It takes no time at all to dry my hair. Once I have it dry, it feels soft and silky, not dry and brittle. I love the attachments for when I need them. The 3 different speeds makes for quick drying and then styling as my hair is pretty straight and I can put the brush attachment on with low heat and add a lot of volume to my hair. It is so worth the price! I have had mine for about a year and I just gave one to my daughter as a Christmas gift. You can buy a Dyson (and I love Dyson products) but this is a great and less expensive alternative and ever bit as good!

Great hairdryer
Works faster and quieter than my old hair dryer to defuse my thick curly hair. I love that it has a long cord and is sash for smaller hands to hold. Haven’t had it long enough to know durability but I am hopeful. So far my only complaint would be that there is a high pitched whistle that I can tune out but others with sensitive ears may not be able to do so. The low heat setting is still pretty warm but the cool burst & scalp guard definitely help. Overall my curls have been curling without frizz and in half the time of my other dryer.

Pro Hairstylist review
I was rather skeptical and waited for a couple of years to purchase one of these products. I've been very skeptical of Dyson and will not spend what Dyson is asking $$$ In an industry where I can get my hands on many or most of the best products and equipment available on the market at wholesale. The blow drawers I typically purchase are at this price point. , but paying retail for one is frankly annoying. But I did. I received it yesterday and used it this morning as I was due for my biweekly blowdry, which usually takes me about twenty minutes for my hair to look like a giant literal tumbleweed just after. I've always had confused hair. And i'm fifty and my hair is processed blonde. I have 80% Gray at my hairline and 25% the rest. It's long. It's layered. It requires heat to look good. Review: I was honestly blown away by this little blow dryer. It felt great in my hands and the weight of it was surprisingly light. Professional dryers have some meat to them in terms of weight and they last us years. Anyone concerned about the weight of this blowdryer, for its manageable size, is frankly just being petty in my opinion. Very packable for travel and the high-speed, high heat is actually more than I need for my unruly hair. I felt that the medium in both was great. Dried my hair quickly, for sure, to the eighty five percent... I teach my clients to dry their hair to 85% in my salon, to avoid tiring their arms out, for a round brush finish. I'm glad that shark is instructing the same. There were labels on most of the pieces with QR codes for instructions online that I would assume are very, very helpful to customers. But the attachments were mind blowing, mind bending. The attached brush and the shine attachment where both shocking in their results. I'm not sure how they pulled it off. My hair certainly isn't finished for the day and I will still additionally curl it..... sidenote: I'm waiting for the flexstyle set in the mail so I can try the entire other system for curl..... but my hair is the smoothest I've ever seen with a blowdry in preparation for a very easy and very quick curling iron finish or flat iron. I'm frankly very excited about the flex style coming with my results from this set up. The power and fan and heat settings are thoughtfully located at the lower part of the handle to avoid accidentally presses... And the cool shot is very conveniently located at the inner bend where you can access it during your full blowdry. Please use the cool shot because your results will be 80% better. As well, I was very pleased at the angles that the attachments are thoughtfully positioned- Particularly the brush attachment at the angle's needed to pull and stretch the hair easily. The bristles on the brush were soft enough that they resembled a round brush. I was worried it would be too stiff and useless. I definitely will bother packing this for travel with the brush attachment. I probably would leave the gloss attachment at home. Because the brush does plenty to prep me for curling iron easily. Someone with lovely straight hair would really enjoy the gloss attachment the results. Always use thermal protection despite the fact that it says no damage. The heat and the fan on the highest setting blows the hair too much in my opinion, and might be too hot for anyone without coarse hair. But for those persons with very coarse hair, I feel this blow dryer will work well for you. Not sure how long it will last or how long the brush bristles will hold up, but i'm hopeful.

Fast, Lightweight, and Delivers—With Some Limitations
I’ve been using the Shark SpeedStyle Hair Dryer (Model HD331) since December 2023, and overall, I’m really happy with it. It’s compact, lightweight, and powerful—my hair dries significantly faster compared to my old dryer, usually under 10 minutes. The attachments are where it really stands out. The RapidGloss Finisher works great—it noticeably smooths frizz and leaves my hair shinier and more polished. That said, if I don’t use that attachment, my hair does tend to frizz, so it’s not a miracle worker on its own. One downside? The brush attachment. It doesn’t do much for me. It lacks tension and doesn’t really help with smoothing or styling the way I expected. I ended up sticking to my regular brush and using the dryer without that piece. It’s a little pricey, which kept it from being a full 5-star for me, but it performs well and feels durable. If you want fast drying and salon-like smoothness (with the right attachment), it’s a strong pick—just don’t expect too much from the brush.
