Best (and cheapest) disposable fountain pen in my opinion
My pen ran out at work and a colleague let me borrow their pen - a Zebra Fuente disposable fountain pen. I'd never used a disposable fountain pen and immediately assumed it would be nasty and scratchy, but needs must. However I liked it so much I plan to only use these from now on and have bought a pack of 12 to get me started. This is a very nifty little disposable fountain pen. Perfect nib, doesn't write too thick or too thin. Very smooth on the paper. Good black ink that lasts an amazingly long time and doesn't bleed through the paper. An absolute pleasure to write with.I tried some other disposables to see if they were better than the Zebra Fuente... Unfortunately not. The Pilot Vpen - nasty ink that turns a swampy green colour after a day or two, bleeds through even thick paper, unreasonably thick nib (in what world is that a medium?!) and finishes far too quickly because of it. Bic disposables - scratchy, poor quality and leaked. And both of these more expensive per unit than the Zebra Fuente.

Good pens, good value
Someone told me recently that I shouldn't buy these because the nibs are scratchy and poor. I said Not in my experience.I've had 32 of these pens and not one had a poor nib. All the pens in this purchase are good. i had a pink one in a previous batch which had a problem with writing. I cured it by standing it nib-down for two days. The nib was not the problem. These pens from this seller are less than £1 each. A bargain. I used to pay £1.50 and thought that was good value, but this lot are even better value. They all write nicely and don't dry up the way normal fountain pens do. I can leave these for months in a draw and they will write as soon a I pick them up. It's a feature of disposable pens that they are more reliable.

Does what it says
It's a disposable fountain pen, nothing beats a fountain pen that you really get on with. But if you want a cheap disposable this does the job

Great starter fountain pen
Bought these to introduce my son to writing with a fountain pen, as he could see I always choose to write with one. However, fountain pens are fragile and he's 12, so it wasn't a foregone conclusion he was ready to look after one at school. These write well and glide nicely over the page, and seem to last pretty well, too, in terms of the ink preloaded into them. While I wouldn't want to use them long term, because of the plastic waste, it did allow our son to prove he could care for his pens and not be constantly dropping and bending nibs. He's now graduated onto a refillable fountain pen that should do service for a few years.

Best disposable fountain pen currently on the market
I am on a mission to find the best disposable fountain pens (for a mixture of writing, maths and scribbly diagrams). So far I have tried BiC Disposable Fountain Pen (Box of 12) - Black and Pilot VPen Disposable Fountain Pen White Barrel 0.58 mm Tip - Blue, Box of 12. I preferred the BiC.The Zebra Fuente appears to be same pen as the BiC (same nib, barrel dimensions, reservoir, ink) but with some minor cosmetic changes (such as lid design). In practice I could not detect any differences. At the current price of £12 per box of 12 (vs £18 for the BiC, and £24 for the Pilot VPen), they are the clear winner in my mind.

Not Permanent ink.
I wanted to try the pen to do sketches in line and wash, unfortunately the ink isn’t waterproof !Not a disaster as the pen is not expensive and I can use it in drawings where I can utilise the effects of the fading ink in water.
