Let me start by being completely honest. I did not check what size the frame was before I ordered it.You see, I own a collapsible hammock frame, but I rarely get to use it because once I get it set up someone I won't mention my kids names always steals it. So I saw this one at a great price and just clicked order. I did not read the description first, i saw hammock frame and clicked order. I know better. When I went back and checked the product out I realized I had ordered a child's hammock frame. My children are teenagers to adults.Then I remembered how my nieces loved laying in the hammock with me while I read them a book when we were camping.So here we are, and with Christmas coming I kept the order.The quality of this frame is nice. It took about 5 minutes to set up, its a solid build and will hold my nieces just fine. The hammock itself is very soft. The one and only thing that could be improved is having a locking mechanism on the side posts so it doesn't come undone. It does latch on, but could be popped up if pulled or kicked. It can be solved with a zip tie.I showed it to my brother and he agreed his girls will love it. And its small enough they could set it up in their room. He promised he would bring it camping with them when we go. (They'll end up in mine anyways, they love story time)It comes with everything you need right out of the box. The carrying bag is a nice feature to haul it around although it's a tight fit and I couldn't put the hammock in with the frame.

My mistake... I thought this was a regular adult hammock until it arrived! I should have paid more attention. I probably wouldn't have ordered it, if I had realized it was just for kids. But that would be too bad, as the children really enjoy it!I let it sit around for too many weeks, and suddenly it was winter. So one wintry day, I sent the kids outside to play in their snowsuits, and I gave them this child-sized hammock. They were able to put it together without my help! Then they more or less took turns playing on it. Yes, it's only good for a child of three or four to lie down on. But someone up to 220 lbs can sit on it. We're probably the only house in the neighborhood with a hammock out back in the middle of winter!I can see how precious it would be to have this child-hammock right next to a matching daddy hammock. There are toy lawn mowers... a preschool child could pretend "help" daddy cut grass, and nap on a twin hammock. Cute, huh?I can't see putting a one-year-old on the hammock for a nap. There are no side rails to prevent him or her from falling out! But a three year old could sleep on it. The hammock is sturdy and well made. I don't like the long fringe, though. To me, the fringe makes it look like it's coming apart. I'll probably take some scissors and cut off all the fringe.All in all, it's a cute toy, if you can afford it. But it's usefulness is limited, since a one year old is too small and a four year old is too big, so it might not be financially worth it to buy.

This hammock is a bit smaller than I was picturing when I ordered it. I should have paid more attention to the measurements. With the weight limit so high I am surprised it is not more durable to better accommodate. a larger size. child. I got it for the grandkids but they grew a little more than I was aware of, as I don't see them as often as I would like. They are now much to big for it. More suited for little ones. Even 10 year old children seem to be bigger than I remember from my youth. Forget the 12 year old. She is adult size and won't even sit on it. It was easy to put together though and I think it is a great deal with the hammock and hammock holder. I am a little disappointed I didn't have this when the kids were the right size.

I wouldn’t say this is for small children because upon assembling it, I didn’t feel comfortable with the exposed hooks. You can easily pinch your finger if not careful. My 8 year old enjoys laying/sitting in it, but I wouldn’t say that it’s safe for my 2 year old. It takes up a bit of narrow space but would be great in a backyard or on a patio, even at a beach.
