I love it! Inexpensive tester for electrical peace of mind.
Have you ever wondered if your electrical outlets are wired correctly? Do you want to avoid potential fire hazards or electric shocks caused by faulty wiring? Well, this gadget is what you need. It's called the Aicevoos Outlet Tester Electrical GFCI Trip Tester Receptacle Detector with LCD Display, 3 Prong AC Voltage Socket Checker Detector Wiring Problems in Plain English(White), and it's available on Amazon for only $14.99.This device is very easy to use. All you have to do is plug it into a standard outlet, and within about 3 seconds, it will tell you the voltage and frequency of the AC in plain English. For example, it might say "120V 60Hz" or "240V 50Hz". If the wiring is correct, it will also say "Correct Wiring". If there is a problem, however, it will tell you exactly what the issue is, without having to interpret a set of lights. For example, it might say "Open Ground", "Open Neutral", "Hot/Ground Reverse", "Hot/Neutral Reverse", or "Hot/Ground Reverse&Open Ground". These are some of the most common wiring faults that can cause serious safety hazards or damage your appliances. But wait, there's more! This device can also test your GFCI outlets, which are designed to protect you from electric shocks in wet areas like bathrooms and kitchens. To do this, you just have to press the leakage test button on the device, and it will trip (test) the ground fault detector if there is one in the circuit. If the GFCI outlet works properly, it will cut off the power and the device will say "GFCI Tripped". If not, it will say "GFCI Not Tripped" and you should get your outlet fixed as soon as possible. One of the best features of this device is that it does not require batteries and powers up using the outlet it's testing. This means you don't have to worry about running out of juice or replacing batteries. It also means that this device can handle up to 250V, so if your socket somehow has 240V instead of 120V on it, you won't blow up the tester. This device is ideal for the average homeowner who may have no knowledge of wiring. It tells you exactly what the problem is, in words, making it easy to fix the problem or call an electrician. It's also very compact and portable, so you can carry it around and test any outlet you want. It has a white plastic casing and a clear LCD display that shows the results in large letters. It also comes with a user manual that explains how to use it and what each message means.Overall, I think this device is a awesome tool for anyone who wants to check their electrical outlets and ensure their safety and efficiency. It's also an excellent upgrade if you are still using one of those simple versions that just have three lights. This costs about the same, yet does so much more. It's also fun to use and see what kind of wiring faults you might find in your home or office. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is interested in testing their outlets and learning more about electrical wiring.

Great little tool !
What an amazing product. Just plug it in and read the display. No more guessing whether the socket is working correctly or whether it was installed correctly. It handles one and two way plugs as well as GFIs. No more guessing. Just plug and read.

Used for three months and now it's broke.
This plug tester was purchased in September, it's now November and when plugging the device in to an outlet it pops the breaker... every single time.I really like the design and display on this unit but that means nothing if it's not functional.

No more decoding
As someone who is regularly checking out real estate as investment properties, I needed an electrical tester to check the condition of the wiring on the older homes. When I saw this tester, I really wanted to try it out for to see if it can help me. I have an old GE tester with the 3 lights, but there is a decoding table that must be used to figure out what it is saying. This new tester can test for 6 separate conditions and report these in plain English on a small LCD screen. It can check for conditions like a missing ground, missing neutral, or if any of the wires have been reversed. The screen also shows the AV voltage and frequency if a current is detected. The red button when pressed will trigger a ground fault on a GFIC outlet to test if that outlet is working correctly.Overall, this is a very useful tester that is well made and well thought out. It not only reports all the important wiring conditions, but in plain English, so is easy to use and understand. It is small and affordable, and should be an essential part of any homeowner’s toolkit.

Works awesome
The last owner of our house used a handy man to do electrical work and several outlets were wired incorrectly. This device is awesome and makes outlet checks a piece of cake. It's much easier and faster than most devices that just have lights that are green or red. Might be lazy on my part but easier to read a screen than figure out which lights on the device need to be green.
