You never know what you're going to get when you order something like this, and although the reviews of this seller are generally good, I've read reviews of other sellers where what the customer got was nothing like what they expected. So I was hoping for something good, but tried to keep my expectations on the low side, just in case.What I got was as pictured. It's beautiful. The smokiness is *very* light - lighter than the picture actually shows (for some reason the light I used really brought out the smoky color, but in ordinary light it really looks almost colorless). However, what it lacks in smoke density, it more than makes up for in rainbows, as they continually appear and disappear as I rotate the ball. The balance between transparency and inclusions seems just about ideal, and the inclusions are quite fantastic in their own right.I measured the diameter with a ruler, eyeballing where the center was, and it measured out at precisely 60 mm. So it is at the lower end of the offered range. However, I don't think an extra 5 mm would really have made that much difference, so it's fine. I was afraid I might get a marble, but no, this is no marble. Really, a very nice size.Although the listing mentioned that there might be imperfections in the surface, I've run my fingers over the entire thing searching for bumps and\or pits, and there are none. It is entirely smooth and about as close to a sphere as you might expect (i.e., not weirdly lopsided or anything).To be honest, I am perfectly fine with the level of smoke, very happy at the inclusions and their level of rainbows, the size is acceptable, there are no detectable imperfections in its surface, and I don't think I could actually be more pleased with this. While my expectations were intentionally kind of low, in retrospect I had nothing to worry about at all. I doubt I could have chosen a better one of these if presented with a whole pile of them to pick through first. Whoever chose this for me chose well.

I'm pleased to receive this natural smoky quartz crystal ball from Yinglai. Not entirely clear, of course, instead I peer into the weather of China when strong forces created this quartz a million years ago, from the elements surrounding it. Smoky in spots, a warm gray cloud floats around rocky outcrops, slopes wet and shiny with moisture.Twirling it slowly in a bright light, silvery surfaces lay a path to follow.....perhaps it speaks to me already? It is a welcome addition to meditations in the walled garden I created along Chinese principles. My small garden needs a mountain to resemble traditional Chinese gardens. Now I have a mountain in miniature, inside my smoky quartz crystal ball.Not perfect, but a good quality for its reasonable price. The caution of some surface imperfections was allowed as a possibility. Yet, running my nail tips over the polished surface, I felt only one tiny irregularity, where a shadowy occlusion left a gritty hangnail barely perceptible. Beauty must have a small flaw to make it real. When I wish time alone in the clouds of a mountainside, I can take this crystal to my Garden Of The White Dove, and meditate.

The media could not be loaded.  The only reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 is because mine looks more like clear quartz then Smokey quartz. I still love it though. Its very gorgeous and has so many rainbows! Its definitely worth the price

These Smokey Quartz spheres come with a tiny stand for display. Smokey Quartz neutralizes electronic energy waves. I placed one on each night stand next to our bed. They do indeed help with uninterrupted sleep. I highly recommend these to anyone charging or playing electronic devices near their bed.

My smoky quartz sphere is beautiful! It’s a nice large size. I also love that mine has a rainbow inside. I appreciate the careful packaging. Very pleased. I might need another one of these.
