These worked out great in a couple of closets I can’t get power to. Nice and bright.

I have it about 7 feet vertically over the door and the unit is very good at detecting movement. It's not particularly bright but it's bright enough so I don't trip over anything when entering through the door. If I'm more than 6 or so feet horizontally from the light the motion detector won't pick up my movements. Installation was easy. The price is right. I just wish they had a plug in version so I wouldn't have to worry about recharging it. The instructions don't indicate whether I can leave it plugged in all the time (recharging is by USB wire). And the USB socket would be better on the side of the housing instead of the top. I haven't had it long enough to see when it needs a recharge. You can set the unit so the motion detector works only at night or also during the day and night, and whether you want the light to stay on for 30 secs or 1 minute. In all, it's a good unit. I plan to get one for a closet.

This light was perfect for the landing at the top of the stairs where there was very little light. The motion detector works great and there is enough light to make the stairway safe. It’s been installed for two months and I haven’t had to recharge it yet.

Do not buy this light, unless you like filling out multiple Amazon returns. I purchased one light, installed it, spent a while troubleshooting, did an exchange, and the second one didn't work either. I'm writing the review to hopefully save someone else the trouble.The first light I ordered did not function properly. The motion sensor would not work. I installed it in the ceiling of my small pantry. When set to "G" which is, turn on when it detects motion, the light would turn on for 30 seconds, then go out for 10 seconds, then turn back on. This would happen even if I shut the pantry door so there was no motion to detect. I spent about 15-20 minutes troubleshooting before I decided the motion sensor was faulty.I understand sometimes things go wrong, so I filled out an exchange and had them send me a new one. I packed the old one up, and drove it to UPS to send back. A few days later the new one came.I charged the light, then tested this one before I installed it. Much to my surprise it functioned exactly the same. The light would go on, then turn off for exactly 10 seconds, then come back on for 30 seconds. I left it in the bathroom with the door shut, and I could see the light going on and off under the door. I'm certain I had the light on the proper settings and that I did everything right. I work in I.T. troubleshooting computer networks so I'm fairly confident I know how to test a motion sensor.I have purchased other types of under counter motion detection lights, and they all work well. I don't know why 2 of the exact same lights from this brand had the same issues, but I would avoid this product at all costs. Do not waste your money. There are plenty of other choices to go with.

This is just what we needed! We use the walk-through garage door instead of the front or back doors but, it’s too dark coming in from the outside. I ordered this rechargeable light fixture with motion sensor to give us some lighting as we enter the garage. My husband mounted it easily on the ceiling and it works perfectly. You really can’t tell it’s not hard wired. Our only complaint is it doesn’t hold a charge very long, this may be because it is motion activated but, it is easy to take down and charge overnight.I would buy this again if needed.

Easy installation and setting just charge once and they will last a long time no issues at all.

I like it but I installed it too high for a shorter person, since it has to be recharged. It works though.
