CHAUVET DJ (CHDDJ) Recording and Playback Device (DMX-RT4)

I wanted a standalone DMX music controller for a commercial fountain.I ordered it and tested a simple program with some D/A DMX to 0-10V converters for pumps and some dmx rgb led lights.All worked as expected as well as a field test on equipment.It would be nice to have a separate time delay to start the music after the show for synchronization. I overcame that problem with audacity adding leader to the mp3.So finally ready to start programming the real show but I get a file failure error and it stops functioning.It requires a power cycle and retriever a show to get going.This happens every time I run it on a simple show. I programmed the show with a dmx 192 console directly attached to the dnx input.I used a chauvet recorder 12 years ago and left it on the jobsiteIt worked for years without a hitch.This unit is definitely not field ready but what else is a trigger-able DMX /audio Recorder for?No support available to determine if unit failure or product flaw.Many other short comings so I'm returning.Buyer Beware test test test before implementing.
