Magical Build for Potterheads
Imaginative and intricate, this set catered perfectly to my inner wizard. Despite some nitpicks, like the occasional loose piece and the bit-too-consistent grey of the Great Hall windows, the majority of the build was spellbinding. My three-year-old loved identifying the mini dioramas from the films, and my eldest appreciated the mix of complexity and nostalgia. The assembly instructions, though at times a bit finicky, made for an engaging project over several nights after dinner. I even found myself humming the movie theme tunes while piecing it together. However, some of the extra chambers felt a tad simplified, a miss for such a substantial kit. Overall, it’s brought a slice of Hogwarts magic into our home with stunning detail, and it’s a fantastic addition to the bookshelf. For any Harry Potter enthusiast, this blend of logic and lore is well worth the galleons.

Great LEGO set for all the Harry Potter fans
I recently bought the Hogwarts Castle LEGO set, and I think it's an excellent value. When you compare the number of pieces to the price, it's one of the best deals out there. Building it took me about 7 evenings, dedicating 1-2 hours each evening. The set was divided into 22 bags, making the assembly process smooth and manageable. Each bag took around 30-50 minutes to complete, allowing me to split the work into shorter, very doable sessions. Before buying, I was worried the set might have repetitive elements, as it seemed from the picture. But while building, I didn't feel this way at all. When following the instructions, it felt quite balanced - with no tedious repetition of the same pieces. I was engaged and never bored throughout the process. The finished set looks stunning on my shelf, but I have mixed feelings about the extra chambers beneath the castle. Since this set is a miniature, these chambers lack detail and seem a bit out of place to me. Without the booklet, I might not have recognized what these rooms were meant to be. The same goes for the additional elements like the Durmstrang ship and Beauxbatons Carriage. Their size and placement don't quite match the scale of the castle, which feels a bit unnatural. Despite these points, the castle and the grounds look truly great and I would definitely recommend this set to any Harry Potter fan, whether you want to build it yourself or gift it to someone else.

A perfect set for Potter fans
It's a manageable (but still impressive) size, it looks excellent, and it's generally enjoyable to put together (although there are a few slightly fiddly bits). As far as LEGO sets go, it's not terribly priced either, especially for the amount of build time you get out of it. The only aspects of the set I have mixed feelings on are the Architect minifigure and Goblet of Fire extras, which feel a bit unnecessary, but they don't exactly ruin the set.

Perfect gift for a Potter fan
I bought this LEGO set for my girlfriend’s birthday, and she loved it. The detail in this set is amazing. LEGO has done an incredible job capturing the scale of Hogwarts, from the iconic towers to the intricate details. Every little feature feels like a nod to the films and books, and it’s a joy to discover them as you build. The set is massive, making it an impressive display piece that any Harry Potter fan would love to show off. The build process was equally enjoyable. Though it's a large and complex set, the instructions were clear, and we had a fantastic time working on it together. It took several hours over a few days, but that only added to the fun. There’s something very satisfying about seeing Hogwarts come together brick by brick! Overall, if you’re a Harry Potter or LEGO fan, this set is an absolute must-have. It’s a challenging and rewarding build, the attention to detail is amazing, and it makes for a stunning collector's piece. My girlfriend was absolutely thrilled with it, and it made her birthday all the more special. Highly recommended!

Harry Potter Castle
This has been the most footery build to date with all the small pieces. Doesn’t help the fact I have long nails 😂. Took me a bit longer than usual but was still very enjoyable plus it looks good in its display case along with my other builds on my Lego wall.

Absolutely brilliant!
Wow! I absolutely love this set. I have wanted a Hogwarts castle for a long time but the models were too big for my small home. The detail is awesome! This set was designed by an architect and it shows. It’s so creative! It says 18+ age range on the box but I think younger people could do this as the instructions are so good. This is perfect, my 60th birthday present to me. The instructions are great as always from Lego, the story as I you work though is a lovely touch. I either listen to Stephen Fry narrating Harry Potter or listen to the music from the films as I build. It’s so relaxing. I saw some reviews saying pieces were missing, I haven’t experienced this. I checked all the bags were there before I started to build. Also worth noting, I once had a piece missing from a different set and emailed Lego, they sent the missing piece free of charge. My children have had a lot of Lego over the years and it’s only ever happened once to us and was very easily sorted by Lego.

This is for 10 year old granddaughter. I was debating one for children but this seems more appropriate somehow. Can't wait for her opinion. (St. Nicolas or Christmas if I can manage to keep it a secret). I wouldn't mind one myself smiley UPDATE: granddaughter was ecstatic and in less than 2 hours had done the first 3 bags. She is just 10.
