I got these six months ago and have used them by themselves and with a different lighting combo, so the ability to have each light at different intensity is a big plus. The stands are thin metal but adequate. The bolts that lock the stand are a weak point; I've stripped two of the brass-looking pieces inside the plastic handle and replaced those bolts with a bolt and wingnut (the repair itself wasn't a big deal but is worth mentioning). Perhaps if these stands were set up and left alone or at least taken down and set up only occasionally the bolts would be fine. The part that attaches the lights to the stands is a standard size, so they'll attach to practically any other stand. The six foot cord on each light won't reach the outlets where I've most often been using them but each cord is long enough to easily plug into a power strip in the center of the backdrop. These are good but not great. The price is right though, and these have been handy enough enough that it was a good buy for me. I'd repurchase if I lost the set I now have.

I purchased these lights for the purpose of setting up a painting area in a very poorly lit room. I have been using these lights ever since they have arrived, and I am VERY pleased with this purchase.What's in the box:2 LED lights2 stands2 goose neck extensions2 plugs with a dimmer knob.**Note: THERE IS NO TRAVEL CASE!The light heads are fairly light weight, as are the tripod stands. Set up is easy and so is making height and light angle adjustments. The cords which lead from the outlet to the lamp have a male/ female connector system which twist-to-lock, thereby preventing accidental disconnection- a nice touch!One could use the lights without the goose neck attachment by simply screwing the light head onto the tripod top, as pictured in the advertisement.The lights are a bright WHITE and can be dimmed. At the end of a long day of use the lamp heads are very warm- but NOT dangerously hot, and the same is true of the dimmer switch at the plug.The only negative points I can find with this product have to do with the tripod stands, and lack of travel case. The stands are a bit on the flimsy/lightweight side, but nothing a weighted sandbag couldn't fix if these were to be used in a busy studio environment.I would recommend this product for use in creative environments be it photography, videography, painting, etc. and would buy this same product if I needed to expand my studio space.

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased these 3 months ago as a replacement for some gigantic box lights that I did not have room for in my new house. At first I was happy with the light they provided. I have a YouTube channel and make wig and product review videos. I used these 2 lights (previous 2 box lights) in addition to an 18" ring light. I noticed after the first few times that the lights would get hot if I had them on full brightness and overheat. They would shut off when that happened. I solved that problem by making sure not to have them on full brightness and to shut them off occasionally. Not idea, but the work around solved the problem.Then I noticed that occasionally the light would flicker when it was on. This happened about a month in. I do not film very often so I just ignored it as it wasn't happening consistently.Now, one of the light bars has fallen off the arm and I cannot get it to screw in. It seems to be stripped or something.I don't know if I just got unlucky and got a bad one (not sure if this was the same one that flickered or not) or if these are crap... but based on these issues I cannot recommend them. That is really too bad because the concept is awesome and I love the size and the flexibility of them. If anyone reads this and has a recommendation for supplemental lighting for videos that doesn't take up a ton of space and is easy to put away in between shoots please let me know. 1 ring light just isn't enough for the wig reviews I do.

The stand that it comes with it very cheap quality. The light itself is what was the most important. The light only has brightness knob. The light itself is set in a metal casing. Thats the best part. So if you are considering, remember the stands suck. Its basic, made of cylinder tubes with holes for the joints and the thing that holds the tripod in height or width of legs is made with basic joints. Design of stand is basic as it gets. You can tell they did not put any effort in design and quality. The knobs to tighten stand in place is plastic and if you tighten to tight it will mess up the threads then it will not tighten. The legs don't stand firm, if you push down on the stand, it slides downwards and the legs spread. Really if the price point is what you are looking to spend, the lights are good for what it is (if you feel this is a deal), it would be best if you had your own tripod or stands.The light is bright but there is no control for temperature change.

As a photographer myself, I wanted to start investing in photography tools. Even though I mainly do nature photography, I do get requests to do family portraits! These lights are perfect for the job! They are very easy to travel with yet when fully expanded they are very tall! I really love how tall they stand because it allows me to situate the lights just as I need them. They are very easy to adjust with the handy built-in remotes on the cables. As a photographer, it is very important to have lights that are separately adjustable. For example, you may be assigned to photograph a product for someone, as the photographer you may want the main light pointing down from the right-hand side but you also don't want any harsh shadows. You can have the light on the left-hand side sit lower and also dimmer but just enough to even out the shadows. This product is amazing and I personally believe that it is a great investment!

We have a small studio that we set up and we were trying to find an alternative to the bulky ring lights. We love the weight of these, but the on//off is not on the light itself and they aren't nearly as bright as the ring lights. We are keeping these for other uses but will go back to ring lights for the larger photo area we use for clothing.

The media could not be loaded.  I like these lights. They are compact with enough brightness and adjustable enough. BUT the screw metal is so soft that after two week on easy use lights Do Not stand on place.

They're nice and bright but I have some bulbs not working

I bought this and I was happy with it for one month I even wrote very good reviews but it’s been 3 months almost passed and one of them stop working and the top from first month broke so I can’t tell you enough how bad was this and I spent money on garbage, please don’t buy because these are very poor quality. I’m artist and I needed these for my studio but very disappointed.

One of the lights are broken already it won't attach back to the stand !!
