F77Z9G512AA / Fuel Injector Seal Adaptor / for Ford Explorer 1997-2010

Needed these to replace injectors on a 2002 Ranger 4.0 SOHC with 177K on the clock. Note they are about 0.002 inches wider than the injector ports in the cyclinder heads. I boiled them in water for 10 minutes to soften the plastic and pre-lubed the cyclinder head ports with grease. Tap each sleeve in with a 14mm socket until flush with the head surface then use a 13mm socket to seat them all the way down into the head to ensure no air leaks. Tight as a drum and works a treat!

These injector base grommets were a total success. They fit my 2005 Ford Explorer perfectly—tight seal, no fuel smell, no vacuum leaks. Installation was smooth, and the material feels durable and high quality. Engine idle is smoother now, and I’m finally confident there’s no air sneaking in around the injectors. If you're replacing your originals, these are exactly what you need. Great product, no complaints!

The seal could not fit perfectly in the hole, so I had to buy a metal file and sand them down. After sanding it and applying penetrating oil, it did the job. Be aware of this before buying.

Rubbish. Attempted to use the one that fit my vehicle and as soon as I tried to put it in it shattered. Bought new ones at AutoZone. No comparison. These are inferior junk material and not the right fit. Waste of time

These are very difficult to install. After lubricating the Injector ports I tried to drive them in. They wouldn't go. Was going to return them but decided to try one more time. I stuck the package in the freezer and tried again the next afternoon. They were still difficult to drive in, but I managed to do it. I think it They made these 0.001 or 0.002 in. Smaller They would be much easier to install.

When initially replacing my injectors, I did not know that I would need to get sleeves. The first time, I went and got sleeves like these from O’Reilly’s, and they were $40. These ones are much cheaper yet look and perform the exact same. When installing, make sure you use a lot of lube and use a 15mm socket and a hammer to get them seated all the way down. I did not have them seated all the way down the first time and ran lean due to the vacuum leak.

It is not fun to replace fuel injectors in any vehicle when you need to remove those fuel lines. I can tell you these items were a perfect fit for my 1999 Ford Explorer XLT they help me to see the fuel injectors and they fit exactly to the micrometer inside the bore hole. I highly recommend them.
