I have not use it yet but fro my fisherman experience it would not last a big fish hit at the end of the line

I bought this pole for traveling and it’s great for it. I just recently put it through its paces in Mexico and it held up good. The pole structure itself is strong and took much more abuse than I was expecting. I had two eyelets come detached (not break) I superglued them back on and it’s going strong. For the price, it’s a good pole to keep in your backpack.
