This pen comes in a standup base. It's too clunky to be a go-to writing implement, but that's not its reason for existence.Push the button and *wow* this thing belts out the blahs. There are tons of versions, which include laughter, gargling, belching, de-tuned voices, you name it. I lost count after a dozen.So this is hardly a subtle device, should you plan to use it, say, in a meeting or a classroom! I use this on my husband when he flaps off his mouth too much and he uses it on me as well. We both love it and make us laugh with the different Blah, Blah verses.

This pen is well made, well-packaged, and sure to liven up any meeting. When it ships, it has its own stand as well as a narrow ring around the top that prevents the button from being pressed during shipping. It's also in a protective plastic sleeve, itself inside of a box. True to claims, there are numerous variations of "blah." (Advertising claims 12, but I honestly didn't count. There are a lot of them, though.) This is perect for a gag gift or a gift for yourself. Not only is it funny, but the pen is also fully functional and smooth to write with. The barrel is a little wide, though, so prolonged writing might result in unexpected hand cramps if you're not used to the diameter.
