I am by no means tech or PC savvy. My first gaming PC was built using iBUYPOWER and since then I have replaced parts and upgraded, on a plug-and-play basis. The PSU was the most recent. I had almost the same exact model in my PC, except it was a 650. I upgraded my GPU, installed a disc drive and faster RAM. My PC had also not been operating the best and everything I had read suggested I begin by replacing the PSU.I would like to say this replacement combined with updating the BIOS was my overall success (for those who might be getting BSOD or random black screen while the PC is fully powered up - related to possible Kernel-Power Event ID 41 - start with your PSU and BIOS!) The 850 will have more than enough power to handle any of those CPU/GPU/RAM or any other upgrades you are looking to put in. I have an RTX 2060 Super, and it handles it no problem (it also says it is rated for 3/4K series). Overall, installation is self-explanatory, and the process is plug and play. I recommend you give yourself plenty of time, space and patience and read over all the literature included in the box. The box comes with plenty of new cables which again, the instructions recommend be replaced. With the cables are also Velcro ties and zip ties to promote neater wire management.Overall, I recommend Seagate products. This is my second PSU (the first one was purchased in 2019, and I replaced it the end of 2024) - depending on how frequently you game and the load you put on your PC, this in general is the life expectancy for a PSU. Great value for the power you will get out of it and rest assured, you can trust Seagate. They make durable and reliable products!

I bought a Corsair rm850 as well as a cooler master mwe 850w v3. Returned both of those after the coolmaster arrived D.O.A., and the Corsair wouldn’t fit my case but man, the vertex series is great the price was $10 more than the corasiar, it’s atx 3.1 (the Corsair is 3.0) comes with a 12v high power cable, as well as zip ties AND Velcro ties, a bag for both psu (sort of irrelevant after installation) and the cables, and looks better too. No one should ever trust just one brand but dam Seasonic makes it hard to buy something else with the vertex series

This is my first seasonic psu and it has made me wonder why I even wasted time and money on lesser big name brands. Everything fits perfectly but not overly tight so it stays connected until you disconnect the plugs. Every cable you’ll need, even that nasty one for nvidia, is there and easy to identify what is what. It’s versatile to handle all kinds of different setups and different cases.

Runs great. Fantastic warranty. Comes with all you need just can’t fit in place of a tiny PS. It’s full size. Great price especially with a Longer than average warranty. If you have a newer case ( not like smaller Dell or such it takes almost no time to install. Even comes with the new 12pin connector for the latest and greatest GPU. As far as heat, far less of a problem than cheaper power supply’s. I run Server with 7 drives and dual Xeon processors.Heat has not been a problem for me. Runs warm but considering it’s 1200watts, it’s average on the cooler side.

As expected from Seasonic it works perfectly and has plenty of cables. The were nice enough to send me the updated power cable for my 5090 for the cost of shipping despite being past the 90 day cutoff from day of purchase. It hasn't melted yet after a couple months of gaming. Power supply is quiet and I don't notice it. As it should be.

Buy it from this company. I'm here because I'm about to buy another psu for a new build. Reliable, customer service is fantastic, even sent me a free 12v2x6 adapter for the 5090. I even have a very old seasonic psu that is still pushing.

After just 4 months of use, this PSU completely failed. Very disappointed, especially since Seasonic is supposed to be a top-tier brand. Don’t be blindly loyal to “big name” brands—this experience proves even so-called premium products can let you down. Will look for alternatives next time.

IDK what I was doing before I owned a Seasonic Vertex PX-1000-1000W - 80+ Platinum - ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 Ready - Fully-Modular - ATX Form Factor.Probably using less hyphens.All jokes aside, this PSU is great and was easy to install and came with most if not all of the necessary cables, with a 12 year warranty you can't go wrong! Especially when you can get it on sale for under $250! A great, future-proof PSU for the PC Enthusiast who is in search of upgrades!
