TX Range is Abysmal. Hard pass.
I'm not really sure who the ideal end user is for this CB. I bought it as a companion to the handheld Midway 75-785 that we keep in our RV. Reception was about on par between the two units. Roughly a mile or so out and we could hear traffic coming through. The DRAMATIC difference came when it came time to transmit. This radio (the Wuoxun...Ocean!) would only transmit about 150 yds, max. Other reviewers have said that they could literally yell further than this thing will transmit. Is it possible that there's a power function setting I missed? Doubtful, but possible. Even still, on low power, a 4watt radio ought to be able to get out much, much further than that. For example, the Midland 75-785 easily gets out over 2 miles, and that's in an urban setting with houses, trees, and hills. If you need something very small and your priorities are listening and not transmitting, this might fit the bill. Otherwise, I'd say it's a hard pass.

Great on FM, Ok on AM
I bought one when they first came out and had to return it. At that time, the AM transmit was in FM and there was no way to fix it.Recently, I saw them on Amazon and decided to try it again. I figured if the problem has not been fixed, I would return it. And Amazon makes it easy to return, so I had no worries. When I got it, I checked it out with the monitor radio in my station. The FM tx sounds really strong and clear. The AM tx is clear, but not loud like FM. There is probably a way to turn up the modulation, but I have not been able to figure it out yet. The AM is usable, but could be way better if it could be adjusted. The radio comes with an adapter to use an external antenna, but it is a bnc connector and will not work with any antenna sold for CB without another adapter.I plan on keeping it this time, eventually someone will figure out how to get into the service menu.

Cool little radio, works with GMRS and HAM
This is one of the only Radios that I am aware of that can do both GMRS and HAM. It wont do them at the same time, it is one of the other (selected at bootup time) - but this little feature in it self it pretty cool. The display is great. Works as expected.

No power what’s the point
No power to go a quarter of a mile I could yell that far

I hear everyone
CB is too crowded for anyone to hear me from far away on this low power handheld, but I pick up people from all over the country on every channel during the day

600 highway miles, no contact!
I want this radio because there's heavy traffic on the route I drive from Virginia to Georgia. There are trucks on the highway all the time and we're often stopped. I thought the CB would give me an opportunity to find out what was happening ahead. I did not have one contact in 600 miles. It's a nice little package, but with no contact. It's a one star.
