TMI Groundbreaking Car Cooling Seat (Black)

This is much more than some seat cushion with some laptop computer fans inside blowing ambient air around. This product actually produces cold air and then pumps it into the seat cushion. TED, which stands for thermo-electric device uses the Peltier effect to create active cooling. This explains why it costs so much more than other similar products.If your car doesn't have ventilated seats, this will provide you with seat cooling that is actually superior to what most cars offer.Two improvements I would like to see. #1 a quieter fan, which I realize might be a tall order since it does have to move a lot of air.#2 and more importantly, I would love to see the manufacturer add the ability to reverse the current so that it can also provide heat, which is exactly what a TED circuit is able to do.

I've had this for a few months now in the Southwest US desert. It definitely does better than some of the fan-embedded ones. The unit lives under your seat and takes in the air from the floor, so the coldest air that's in your car. I haven't really noticed a cooling effect with just the unit and no AC, so I wouldn't recommend this if someone is thinking it will be able to get them through not having AC working. Since I have vents for the backseat, switching the AC to the floor does help drive colder air into the seat.I can feel it on my back, especially with breathable clothing. It can definitely help to move air on your back if you're a bit sweaty from outside and prevent you from getting even sweatier in the car.The biggest drawback this has going is...it's black. Black heats up in the sun. This thing can be really uncomfortable for several minutes of sitting in it after it has sat with sunlight on it...even with heat tinted windows. I wish it came in a tan or grey color to help with that.Overall, it's okay. Build quality actually does seem really good and the material is nice. I only bought one for the driver seat because of the price, and I will not buy one for the passenger seat as it just doesn't seem like a big enough game changer for me at the price it is at. I'm not going to get rid of the one I have, but I can't justify buying this again.

Since my 2014 mustang doesn't have seat cooling feature, only heated seat ,, this device amazing its cooling not ventilation thanks to the cooling peltier technology,, the cushion are very comfortable,, the idea of this device is same that many manufacturers use specially ford and others, I recommend to buy, thanks to seller and i also recommend to everyone to read about peltier cooling technology how it works.Say goodbye to sweaty back and butt in summer season.
