5-inch Tube Portable A/C AC Air Conditioner Exhaust Hose Coupler/Coupling - Counter-clockwise thread 5CCWCPL

I had to stretch the hoses outside of tube and tape heavily.

I picked this coupler up because my Delonghi Air Conditioner came with a hose that was just a little bit too short for my needs. I took a look at the threading on my Deonghi parts and matched it up with this counterclockwise coupled in the product pictures and figured it was what I needed. Well, I was right. Easy peasy. Four out of five stars because honestly, why is this thing more than $10? It’s just a piece of threaded plastic but somehow warrants some high prices everywhere I look!

Item arrived quickly and well packaged. It is 3d printed, but is an exceptional product. It worked exactly as it should. I used it to couple two 5" vent hoses (the original that came with our Black and Decker portable AC, and a different brand hose purchased off Amazon) and both fit perfectly and was large enough that each hose screwed in roughly 2-3 inches each and I have discerned no noticeable air leakage and no tape or anything was required to seal it. The hoses were counterclockwise threaded and everything worked fine.Definitely would recommend for 5" counterclockwise vent hoses.

Allowed me to extend the hose that was included with my Emerson Quiet Kool system to a more manageable length. Coupled with another hose (Zealor 78 Inch Long Universal Exhaust Hose Counter Clockwise Threads Threads for Portable Air Conditioner), I was able to reach the drop ceiling for the system exhaust. Yeah, it may seem a bit expensive, but it worked perfectly. The fit between the two hoses was tight and there was no exhaust leakage, even without duct tape.

A coupling designed to connect two hoses together. It is well made and functioned well. I used it to extend a portable AC unit further into a room. The threads engage the threads of the AC exhaust hose and holds together without exhaust air leaking at the interface. They do sell counterclockwise and clockwise threaded couplers, so you will need to verify the direction of the hose being connected.

These work great, allowing you greater flexibility in positioning your AC unit with the addition of more hoses. Do note that hoses come in both clockwise and counter-clockwise versions and I believe that Intulon makes it's couplers all three possible combinations (CW/CW, CCW/CCW, and CW/CCW), as well as versions that adapt from 5" to 6" hoses.

This item works as advertised. It is a cinch to use it to attach to 5 inch hoses. I can now run my portable A/C-heater unit through another room and lessen the noise in my bedroom! It is a little expensive given the much lower price of the hoses though.
