There was no ribbon on mine as far as I remember. If you have no strap button other than the one on the bottom of the instrument you can use a black shoe or boot lace to attach it. Or string. Have a quick look online. Loads of videos.

Depends on your controller, Neil... but if it's a Hero guitar with "button-type pins" to hook onto, then yes it will work. The strap also comes with a "shoelace" attachment should you not have a button at the top of the guitar body (in which case you can tie the strap to the neck of the guitar). It also has sufficient flex to adjust the strap for a young adult player.

Q: Why is there a minimum order quantity of 2, why cant I buy just one of these?

Every seller will have different prices and shipping rates but only one is shown as the winning seller in the main 'buy box' with 2 or 3 others shown on the bottom right of the page. Amazon usually places Amazon first in the 'buy box' and for this particular listing they stipulate if you buy from Amazon then you must buy 2 straps instead of one.
