HarperCollinsChildren’sBooks Oh, Baby, The Places You'll Go!: A beautifully illustrated edition of a Dr. Seuss classic that is the perfect read for new parents and babies : Seuss, Dr., Seuss, Dr.: desertcart.ae: Books Review: Was really disappointed, as I got this for a baby shower, thinking it would be very similar to the original just adjusted to be talking to a baby. But it's completely different and the amazing message of the original is completely loss. Too many names etc from Dr Seuss characters seemed to be the focus, and it made it really hard to read. Luckily I also got the original too, which I'll stick to going forward. Review: I bought this on the recommendation of my hypnobirthing teacher and I'm so glad we did. My husband read this to bump every night for the last trimester, trust me after 3 months of reading it you know the verses. He really enjoyed reading it and baby kicked away. Now baby is here when he's unsettled my husband starts to recite the book to him and he calms right down. For that reason alone it's worth getting and investing the time in. The last two verses are lovely too.

I loved to read this when i was pregnant to the baby. He would get really active when I did. Dr seuss is good for little minds because of the rhymes and rise and fall of your voice when you read it.

Reading this book has become such a special ritual for us! Starting in our third trimester, my husband starting reading this to our little one every night. Not only has it become a way that he can feel more connected to the baby (challenging for dads - they're not growing it!), the baby loves it, too. He kicks up a storm every time he hears my husband's voice reading it. The illustrations are charming and Rabe does an excellent job extracting bits from many stories to come together as this sweet little book. It takes less than five minutes to read. This will be my go-to gift for all expecting friends from now on!
