Being an nVidia fan for a very long time....my latest system build called for new considerations. Adding the Samsung Neo G9 57" meant I wanted a GPU that could drive Display Port at 240Hz refresh rate. The RX 7900 XT OC 20G not only does that but is also over clocked and boasts 20GB of GDDR6 video ram. I am primarily a linux and this GPU is fully supported (@ 240Hz refresh rate) with kernel 6.8 and above. Radeon is supported at the kernel level due to AMD's support in linux! In windows, after a metric ton of driver installs and driver updates, etc, etc, it just works as it should! This GPU is excellent. It runs cool and drives anything I need without even breaking a sweat! It looks great in my new chassis and gets along well with my Asus ROG Strix B650E-F motherboard w/Ryzen 7950X CPU, ASUS ROG Strix LC II 360 ARGB All-in-one AIO Liquid CPU Cooler, 64 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RAM, and finally the dual SAMSUNG 990 PRO SSD 2TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 drives. Everything just works flawlessly! NOTE: this GPU is massive so measure your case and allow for it! I also bought a support for the far end as can be seen in the photo. I spent a LOT of time researching for this build and do not make decisions lightly. I cannot say enough about how happy I am with this purchase. Once again, ASUS delivers!! You cannot go wrong with this GPU. Oh frame rates? I've only so far played Call of Duty - Modern Warfare III on windows and with basic non-overclocked, non-optimized settings, I was getting around 90 fps at 240Hz refresh rate at 7680x2160 resolution. On Linux I played a little Nexuiz, Alien Arena, and OpenArena and in all cases without optimizing any settings on the GPU but setting the games to maximum everything, hit well above 100 fps. Perhaps it's my setup combination OR just this GPU is steller. Either way....it rocks!!!

Pros (1) 3 x 8-pin PCIE connectors. I don’t want anything to do with 12VHPWR. (2) 24 GB of VRAM (3) Very quiet cooling. The TechPowerUp review of this card has it rated as the quietest 7900XTX. This was important to me as I don’t use headphones to game. (4) AMD’s Adrenalin software is superior to Nvidia’s counterpart. (5) Haven’t experienced any driver/incompatibility issues. (6) Working fine with a 750 watt Seagate power supply. (7) Metal backplate and shroud. Cons (1) Ray tracing performance could be better. (2) Card takes up 4 slots. That's the price one has to pay for a quiet graphics card. (3) RGB lighting control. ASUS used to have a stand-alone program (Aura) for controlling RGB lighting. These days ASUS wants you to install their Armory Crate software bundle to get control of RGB. If one looks on the r/ASUS subreddit you will find that Armory Crate is universally loathed. I was able to find an old version of the stand-alone Aura program online (do a search for “asus aura 1.07.84_VZ”). I installed the program and found that it could control the RGB lighting of this card. This is an upgrade from an RTX 2070 Super which was barely adequate for my 1440p monitor. With the RX 7900 XTX everything is fast and smooth with high/ultra settings. I’m happy to have made the switch from Nvidia to AMD.

A Total Beast – The 7900 XTX Is Everything I Wanted and More This card is an absolute monster. The performance jump coming from my previous GPU was insane,I’m getting ultra settings at 1440p and even smooth 4K in most modern AAA games without breaking a sweat. Temps stay solid, and it runs quieter than I expected, even under heavy load. What really blew me away is how well it handles multitasking: gaming, streaming, editing it just eats it all up. VRAM is more than enough for heavy textures and future-proofing, and FSR 3 is a game changer in supported titles. I was originally considering going NVIDIA, but I’m so glad I gave AMD a shot this time. The price-to-performance ratio is just unbeatable for what you get. Plus, it looks clean in the case — big, bold, and powerful. Pros: ✅ Incredible 4K and 1440p performance ✅ 24GB VRAM – perfect for future games and creative workloads ✅ Surprisingly quiet for a high-end card ✅ Great temps with a good airflow setup ✅ Excellent value vs similar NVIDIA cards ✅ Looks beautiful in a full tower build Cons: ❌ Big — make sure your case has room ❌ AMD drivers have improved a lot, but still need occasional tweaking Verdict: If you're looking for a true high-end card without spending $1600+, this is it. The 7900 XTX hits that sweet spot between performance, future-proofing, and price. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat.

After a year of owning this card and heavy use it runs smooth, installation was easy. I do recommend a GPU raiser or something for long term safety. Only hits 52c under full load with fan cooling. It is large as expected. Solid look and the RGB isn't overwhelming. Functions perfectly sometimes too well as the online games are what is holding you back (Warcraft)

Runs exceptionally with my system, I play a few different types of games with this gpu . I’m playing everything from Forza horizon 5 to Destiny 2 and everything between. The graphics are amazing, runs ice cold, I got this gpu to use instead of the graphics aspect of my 5700g’s graphics aspect , and haven’t had any complaints, I also use it to create artwork amongst other things. It’s really been a beast ! My spec levels are ( in simple terms) A520 motherboard, R7 5700 g Corsair 32gb ram 550 w power And the 6600 in a micro case , The performance at 1080 is flawless, Noise level doesn’t exist, No stuttering, no chop, no issues ! On a beer budget, I got champagne!

The Asus Dual 7700XT OC 12GB has been a fantastic upgrade to my PC and gaming experience. If you happen to get some annoying buzzing sounds try turning off "Smart Access Memory" that has been my only complaint so far. When I played a game the card would buzz loudly and even scrolling on YouTube would cause buzzing. I have not noticed any drop in performance since turning it off. I highly recommend this card to anyone who wants to game at 1080p high/max settings in many great games so long as it's paired with the right CPU.

Es la tarjeta más poderosa de AMD, y equivale a la 4080 de Nvidia. La calidad de materiales es excelente, todo es de metal, el disipador es inmenso y mantiene la tarjeta siempre abajo de 65c prácticamente sin hacer ningún ruido. Mucha potencia para juegos en máxima calidad y resolución 4k, da más de 100-120 fps en juegos triple A sin mayores problemas, y ya si usas el FSR obviamente se disparan los fps a 150+ fácilmente. El único inconveniente que le veo es que jala bastante poder, necesitas una buena fuente, al menos 850w para estar cubierto, fuera de eso es una excelente tarjeta por el precio, más barata que la 4080.

A perfect choice for budget GPUs, it's openning games for me in 4k resulotions with 45-70FPS with high-ultra settings.

Recently bought this to replace my RX 590, which had served me well, but was starting to struggle with some recent big releases. With my RX7700XT I've been able to play games like Baldurs Gate 3 (as well as some older titles like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2017)) at 1440p, getting at least 100 FPS on ultra settings. Would highly recommend this GPU for 1440p gaming.
