Walkerswood Traditional Jamaican All Purpose Mix and Blenda Green Seasoning, 10 oz (Packaging May Vary)

I first bought Walkerswood sometime in the middle 80s. I just use it on chicken legs and thighs. Mix it with some melted butter or olive oil, brush on, then air fry, oven bake, or grill as usual. It’s so good. It has heat but also a complexity of deliciousness. Just seeing the jar makes my mouth water. This is one of those classic products that elevates cooking effortlessly.

This really helps with seasoning food. Meats, chicken, rice. It has no salt or spice so you have ro add it. I mixed it with all my other seasonings blended with butter, then put on the chickens. I added directly to the pot with olive oil, onions garlic and green peppers thyme and hot pepper and salt to make rice. Get it !!!!!!

This has always had great flavors. I get the mild flavor for family that cannot handle spice but loves jerk chicken. This can be found in a lot of authentic jerk chicken. The smell is strong and you can tell it is well seasoned. I like that there is a seal attached so you know it is not tampered with. Overall this is very easy to use when seasoning meats. This is authentic Jamaican jerk from Walkerwood in Jamaica and this product has peppers from local Jamaican farms surrounding the Walkerswood community.

Overall, I like it. It's not a very strong Jamaican flavor, it's like American Jamaican. As far as the spice level, it is mild, a slight kick of spice but it's mild and not constant. I wouldn't mind if it was a slight more hint of spice But it's the overall flavor not the spicyness that I wish was more Jamaican jerk flavor. I'm not Jamaican, I am a lover of the food and anything soul food related. I like it when this is under $4, usually it's over $8. I'm going to try some other Jamaican jerk seasonings And if I remember, I'll come back and report my favorites. Fyi. The Greens blend is nothing to write home about and not particularly flavorful in any way. It's an ok addition if you want but I didn't see any real enhancement flavor wise so I wouldn't purchase it again.

Great go-to for cooking jerk when you can't source scratch ingredients or are short on time. A native Jamaican turned me on to this years ago.
