While this plate works well enough to boil a tea kettle, it won't bring a larger pot of water to boil such as for pasta. Still, I'm satisfied that it allows us to get more use out of our non-induction pots and pans

After making the switch to induction years ago, and gradually replacing cookware to induction-friendly pots and pans, there remains a few that it'd be great to be able to still use. I was hoping that this go-between heating plate would allow me to do so. It works to an extent. I find that it takes a while to heat up the plate, and then it seems to soak up some heat and not pass it through to the pot/pan. Maybe I was expecting too much. The product description does say that it diffuses heat, and that it is not meant for boiling or high temperature use. I don't consider boiling all that high of a temperature. So if not boiling, then probably pan frying and stir frying isn't what it's meant for. And this matches my experience so far. It could be used for perhaps stewing and braising, like in a ceramic stew pot.

This has become an absolute invaluable addition to my gas stove top. It allows for faster heating and cooks food so EVENLY. I don’t know how I ever lived without it! I’m seriously flabbergasted by the difference it has made in the way my food cooks!It stays very hot long after the heat is off, so watch that. I believe this is a wonderful tool for conserving energy as well as it really boils water much faster. I can’t get over how evenly my food cooks now, and even in the crappiest of my pans. I freaking love this thing.

Fell apart after only three months. Obviously poorly mad junk.

The media could not be loaded.  Made of stainless steel and aluminum. I tested it to see how it will heat water, to verify if the heat generated will be enough for boil the water. It was efficient. This will be of great help in my new gas stove, which is not yet installed due to kitchen remodel at present time. I have smaller pots, two grecas, and other ceramic and glass cookware that I used in the former electric stove, but I’m new to gas stove and I need to continuing using them. And also, I used to pasteurized eggs, and I think this will help me, because I need to control the temperature and remove the eggs just before the boil. As advertised, the surface of the plate would discolor after use, this time I cleaned it and good to go again. Time will tell!
