This one worked, where others did not.The units that failed were OK switching sources from a Oppo Blu-ray player or from a DIRECTV TiVo unit. However, where the other units failed me was an HDMI signal coming from my equipment room those signals come from a HDMI matrix. A gadget like this one, but more complex.The point is, this product handled EVERYTHING for me.Why do some people have success, and others do not? HDCP (High Definition Content Protection) is the answer. This protocol is was designed to keep people from copying movies. What it really does is make life for the legitimate, honest electronics consumer much more difficult. HDCP, never should've been invented.My only criticism is the indicator lights are a little bit hard to read. This is not an issue if you use the remote control.

This switch works perfectly, and I love the remote control that comes with it to change between each channel. There is basically no set up required, just plug and play. I have 7 different video game devices all wired through this switch and each works great. Highly recommend this item.

So far so good I first bought a Ugreen switch 5 in 1 then saw this one. It's cheaper than the Ugreen and the outer shell is aluminum verse plastic. It has auto switch and it is very easy to assemble and the remote works great wish it was a bit larger. I definitely would be this again. Video quality is kept in tact on all Apps no distortion..

Plug your HDMI cables into it.It generally autoswitches, but for my Galaxy phone I have to push the button. Simple.I don't use the remote control, because it's right in front of me, and between the three other computers, it' automatic.After 7 months, I have no complaints. I have three other three input units that have been running for well over 2 years, all auto switching. That's why I bought this.

This doesn’t work. Even if it does there is no power button on the unit, so better be sure you don’t lose the remote or becomes useless. Specialty cable is very short. Lights came on, no output. No batteries included for remote. Put in batteries in remote, doesn’t seem to do anything. Was replacing an existing switcher to get more ports. Plugged everything in the same works with old switch. Even if this wasn’t defective, it’s a bad product if you can’t turn it on without the remote. Instructions are useless. Too bad I waited too long to return it before I tried it.

August 2025 update:Customer support is fantastic. Was upgraded to the 8K version which works great.Changing my 2 star rating to 5 star.The item does switch between HDMI inputs BUT the remote has to be within three (3) feet of the device. Many times I find it easier to change inputs by hand.

I have ordered numerous HDMI switches on Amazon. This is literally the ONLY one that worked properly. Everything was designed to go into our landfills. This 7-port switch works perfectly and is 1/2 the price of the other offerings that didn't work. Very happy, thank you.

The reason I marked three stars is this adapter won't wake up my TV. My other adapter will, but this one won't. When I press the home button on my fire stick, my other adapter will turn on my tv. It also won't automatically switch between inputs when a new device is powered on. On my other switch, if I'm watching my fire TV and then power up my PS5, the switch will change over automatically.The remote is also really cheap feeling. Like, $3 remote control car cheap. It does work and change between the different HDMI inputs, though.
