I ordered several of these crucifixes because they have the Saint Benedict medal. They are very well crafted handmade crosses. They have a notch hole and slide in the back for secure wall mounting. I add small felt pads on the back, on the four ends to keep nice and straight on the wall but this is not necessary, that's just something I do with picture frames and things like this. The gold color metal strips that run behind the corpus are highly reflective, they add shine. My sister does not like the shine and says it adds too much bling to gaze at for long. I like the reflective quality of it for the dark places I have mounted mine (inside my garage for example). It's a comfort to have it where I can see it stand out, I feel I am home safe again. These are beautifully made crosses, the Asterom Family maintains very high quality control for all their handcrafted items, I highly recommend their rustic crucifix also, the one with the burned wood finish and twine cordage around the base. I custom ordered several of them to include a Saint Benedict medal, which that version normally does not have. Asterom did a splendid job on them, even gave me a discount for ordering four of them. I love all their crucifixes, now my home feels claimed for Christ and protected from evil.

It’s a very beautiful crucifix that is made with a great deal of skill and artistry. It is big. Much bigger than I expected. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or not at this point. The rosary is a nice addition. Did I mention it’s big? It’s big. The metal work and wood work are exceptional. Not mass produced plastic Chinese junk.

This is absolutely beautiful. I took it into my catholic church and had it blessed by the priest, he commented how beautiful the crucifix is and the rosary that came with it. Other members at the church also saw the crucifix and rosary and asked where I got it from and I told them Amazon. It is made of nice wood and Jesus on the cross is beautifully done and no flaws. Beautiful craftsmanship! It's the perfect size to hang in your bedroom to add a small touch and reminder of your faith. It's not heavy at all, so we don't worry about it falling off the wall. You could use command strips to hang it since it's flat on the back or a nail if you wanted to as it does have a nook for that. It's a perfect gift to give you Catholic friends. Great value for the fact that this is handmade! Plus they gave you a rosary as well! The rosary is small but it's such a nice touch especially since it's hand made as well.

I bought this crucifix as a gift. It is very well crafted with a beautiful, detailed copper plated body of Jesus. 12 inch height shows nicely. I use the wooden rosary all the time.
