All the pieces are the same shape. Many the same color. I liked most of it but gave up.

When we zoomed in on this puzzle, it appeared that each row was almost identical to the others in the cut and shape of the pieces and we thought it would be a breeze to put together...it is not a breeze! While it is easier than a lot of the more 'advanced' jig saw puzzles out there, it is still tough to get together and makes you use your noggin'! All in all, we love this puzzle. The image is really cute and the titles and authors of the books are very punny. It would be a good starter puzzle for someone just getting into jigsaws and a slightly easier puzzle for those who like them tough but maybe want an easier one every now and then.The image printed on the pieces is high-quality resolution which makes it look GREAT when it is all completed. We have a habit of gluing and framing our completed puzzles that we like, and this one will definitely be framed! We love it!

My grandson put this together with ease. He does a lot of lego assemblies so I imagine that's good training for puzzles! The words help a lot.

I loved the picture, the quality is great. My only complaint is how easy it is. For the price, I wish it had more pieces. You can easily finish this in a day or two. Loved the tessellation idea but I'm going to buy the 1000 pc version of this puzzle in grid style. It's very similar to this pic, by the same artist.
