To echo ANOTHER Reviewer here - this is NOT a BBQ Flavoring. That would be from Mesquite Wood Smoke concentrate. This product is a flour made from the Mesquite BEANS/PODS and is used for a Coffee like drink or in BAKING or SMOOTHIES and as a low-glycemic sweetener. It has a delightful chocolatey-nutty-caramely aroma and flavor.

This tastes so good, and it is sweet! I was leery but I am so glad to find a natural source for sweetening my coffee. I use Raw honey for my tea and yogurt but needed something for coffee. I'll discover its many uses as the indigenous native Americans used it for alot!! It came fast and in protective packaging.

Good product. I made mesquite chocolate chip cookies, and they turned out very well. While I live in Arizona and am surrounded by mesquite trees, I'm too lazy to gather the beans and grind them because it's a lot of work. Mesquite flour can be used in a variety of things, so it's fun trying new recipes. It is also good if you want to try it in a face mask or scrub. I recently tried it on pork steak, which was delicious - a hint of bacon and sweet maple for some strange reason. I simply smashed the pork steak in the mesquite flower mixed with some salt and pepper. Once it was coated very well, I put it in the air fryer. Mesquite flour is a great substitute for sugar, which is especially nice if you are diabetic.
